Wait, so maybe, just maybe, I wasn't click baiting and trolling when I tried to warn you guys which way the front office winds were blowing after all?

Shocking.

I can’t wait for Saturday for McDaniels to be hired and have his press conference. Whatever happened to that thread

Didn't trade Wilson or Wagner either.

Wilson was a no brainer.

But they casually let Sherman walk who is now in the playoffs with their division rival while they have made it to the playoffs with basically leftover scraps at running back. Meanwhile Panthers fans are over here jerking it to rushing/receiving records.

can people seriously not differentiate between a QB and a RB/LB?

The former is the success or failure of your franchise, the latter are tag a along positions. If Kuechly is traded, it's only because youre in pursuit of addressing the former.

The difference is that the Panthers have the 7th pick in the draft, and you don't use the 7th overall pick on the latter. The Panthers are stalling to see how draft season starts playing out.

"but mcCaffery was the 8th pick!!!"

fascinating, and it's been meaningless because the Panthers didn't have the former.

It really really helps to have a top 3 QB. He alone has won them so many close games.

Oh of course, but it doesn't always have to be that way. Who would have thought the Bills would snatch a playoff berth let alone nearly win a playoff game with Josh Allen? The Titans eliminated the Patriots with Ryan Tannehill lol.

Maybe you've forgotten but I remember all the complaining and raging over the years about those contracts Hurney gave Dwill and Stewart. By comparison of what McCaffrey could end up commanding considering current market cost and how we have used him exhaustingly both as a runner and a receiver it's definitely a bit confusing seeing certain fans seemingly very eager to potentially pay him a king's ransom while we may be facing a future without an actual answer at QB for an unknown amount of time.

As far as Luke, do you really think it's a good idea to have 115 million dollars tied up in two linebackers, one of which will be 29 in April?

You have to look at the cost in terms of the rising value of the position in terms of market. Sure, that Shaq contract looks terrible at first glance and it might end up being terrible, but he's not going to be paid among the elite LBs. Regardless, I do support the idea of extending Shaq and seeing what happens with Bradberry. I think he's a good CB, but not worth what he's seeking.

Also, any new QB would love to have, you know, a RB to take some of the pressure off him. McCaffrey fits that bill. At the Panthers/Redskins game last month, I'd say 60% of the Panthers jerseys in the stands (which out-numbered the Redskins ones by a 4-1 margin) were CMC. Another 25% were Luke.

This is what I don't understand about you. You complained when people called us out for celebrating Cam's numbers, but now you're doing the exact same thing to people celebrating McCaffrey's. I've never gotten this fixation with downplaying CMC's accomplishments and his value to this team, city and region. Unless it's just spite for hearing it when Cam was doing it.

A ture coach puts his players in the best position to win! A terrible coach wants his players to fit his style ( John Gruden) and kills the roster. I don't see that happening with Matt Rhule. He will draft players and bring in players that want to win

Oh come off it. Cam got relentless poo for so much as appearing upset after losses. If anyone even mentioned a record he broke someone else would say "but show me the wins". Nobody hates CMC. He is beloved. I was thrilled when we drafted him. So I'm not satisfied running him into the ground in a wasted season and likely skyrocketing the value of his next contract in the process.

But now let's get down to some tough truths. We don't know who our QB is going to be, and 2019 will go down as an all time awful season much like 2010. You might not want to hear it but it's the truth. People want hope for the future. Personally I don't see anything to celebrate in us force feeding CMC in a season where we only won 5 games and went 1-5 in our division. That's fuging pathetic and I hope every single player on the team agrees. Clearly we need some motivation. Getting our asses kicked repeatedly should serve us better in that regard than meaningless records.
