Wait, so maybe, just maybe, I wasn't click baiting and trolling when I tried to warn you guys which way the front office winds were blowing after all?

Shocking.

One doesn't exactly have to be nostradamus to see the potential inevitability of the situation as things drag out further and further with a new head coach recently being hired.

They could still be blowing smoke and you wouldn't be doing your job if you weren't trying to get site hits.

We are picking Lawrence next year

There's going to be like 6 teams purposefully trying to lose every game.  Whoever gets the #1 pick will have to go 0-16 or 1-15

We have CMC, Luke, DJ Moore, Burns, Bradberry, etc.  At minimum we'll win 3 games.

Unless this tear down involves trading CMC and Luke for draft picks so we can be bad enough to go 0-16.

Eh, you also said we were going to hire Josh McDaniels, so......

We will see what happens. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

all bets were off the minute tepper decided to get off his seat and make his mark on the team instead of acting like a placeholder with regards to football operations. it doesn’t take a clickbaity thread to figure that out.

if he and rhule take over the evaluation process then there’s a good chance that there are going to be a lot of hurt feelings on the carolinahuddle this offseason. if they’re still leaning on marty a lot of the status quo is going to be upheld and no tough decisions are going to be made in 2020.

We have excellent talent in CMC, Moore, Luke and Shaq -- with or without Cam.

But a team led by CMC, Moore, Luke and Shaq is riding an eight-game losing streak. Moral of the story: never underestimate our ability to lose.

It's a QB driven league. Look at the QB's that made the playoffs and the QB's that didn't. Without a QB, we are just going to be another bad football team in the NFL.

I just think to get the #1 pick, you have to be trying to lose on purpose.  The Bengals were starting Ryan Finley at QB to make sure they got the #1 pick, and only went back to Dalton once their spot was secured.

Are the Panthers going to deliberately tank (rest or trade CMC, start Will Grier all season, etc?).  It doesn't seem like something Hurney/Tepper/or a 1st year coach would do.

And the tanking will be super aggressive this year with multiple teams pulling a Bengals.  So even if you're trying to lose on purpose, you have to compete with the other teams doing the same.

Banking on getting the #1 pick is not good odds.

    • btw, mingo supposed to play tonight.  we want Cowboys to lose for more than one reason, but they are imploding and their 4th round pick is ours. Rams started rough this year, we have their second rounder, and for a while it a in the top 10 picks.  they are going the opposite direction of the Cowboys.  I do think they have Kansas City after us, so that will help
    • You go after my guy with nonsense like "I don't see quickness or explosiveness" and "I haven't seen a lot of quickness or full route tree ability that we always ignore" Then yea, I'm gonna punch back. Like I've said, if people want to draft someone else, that's totally fine, everyone has their own opinions.  But if you're going to advocate against a specific player, don't talk complete nonsense about their game like this. Even more so, don't do that when you're saying I'm the one with a bias towards him. If I was afraid of it looking like a bias pick on my part, I'd never have said I was an Arizona alumni when arguing for him, but I've admitted it from the very beginning, because I don't think my Arizona connection gives me a bias, it just means I know his game REALLY well as I've seen every snap of his college career.  So yea, you start saying the knocks on him are things that he's actually really good at, then you're going to get an earful from me with some video evidence to back it up. In the end, for me, it all falls back to how rare a player like T-Mac can be due to his size.  The smaller speedier type of WRs are exactly who you can find in later rounds and who become available as Free Agents, I can't ever get on board with taking a Hunter (as a WR) or Burden over T-Mac if all were on the board, for that reason alone, and I'd say that if he was a freaking Sun Devil, no matter how much it would hurt me to admit if it if that were the case.
    • Carolina Reapers.. a team so bad if you lose to us somebody's job dies..   😆
