NFL owner reaction

Chris Simms was blathering on that Mara was liable to confront Tepper that the Giants didn't even get a chance when they deserve to because they are after all the mighty New York Football Giants

The NFL expects the Panthers to stay in their place. So called Hot Commodity Guy going to the Panthers when he was supposed to usher in another stint of mighty NFC East greatness and all the juicy dollars that entails in a major market is going to irritate people. The Panthers are supposed to stick with Scrappy Up and Comer Coordinator who can irregularly sneak into the postseason.

Sounds like something Arians would say. He’s speaking out of term. He’s not an owner and has no business speaking on their behalf. Sounds like whoever the coach is needs a new agent.

Also Quinn is making 8 million a year as a first time head coach. So doubtful it was him and Payton supposedly thinks highly of Rhule.

Payton makes more than rhule will even with incentives. Plus if the saints keep Payton he’ll probably be making 12-15 on his next contract while Rhule is making 8.5.

Dude, what if Tepper gave him the offer knowing the Giants couldn't match and purposely wanted/told Rhule to call and ask if they could knowing they couldnt.  Holy crap, that seems spiteful and definitely something Tepper would do.  "Oh noes, you don't have 70 million dollars, dang, well I do"

Other owners aren't particularly fond of Bob Kraft, but that's because he wins...and he cheats. On the flipside, the Rooneys win a lot but are universally loved.

Neither is the league especially fond of Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder or Jim Haslam, but that's not because they're winning. It's more about them doing a lot of stupid things.

We don't know which of those David Tepper is going to most resemble yet.

Arians is a stooge. Wouldn't surprise me that he said it. Doesn't sound anything like Payton or Quinn.

I'd love to see those old geezers try to shut him out of a meeting. If they do, they're going to regret it.

They are all probably secretly admiring Tepper. 1-2 million more to any owner is a drop in the bucket. Arians is just pissed a youngin’ is making more than him.

Said this in another thread.

One thing im noticing very quickly when it comes to tepper is that other teams are understanding when it comes to money bids they are not fuging with Tepper. Lol

Just imagine if there was no salary cap.

The NFL wouldn’t be worth watching if there was no salary cap and the players wouldn’t play either.
