Anyone else fed up with our current ESPN beat writer?

Pretty sure all teams think their ESPN beat reporters suck, because they do. If they're good, they get promoted to national stories or get hired by outlets like the National.

Hell, I'm down for the cause. I don't read David Newton's articles anymore, but his tweets are terrible. Also, if I remember correctly, didn't he get dragged on Twitter for calling out a heavyset fan and then tried to backtrack? 

Back to NASCAR you go, David. Hopefully soon.

Overall this town has the worst sports media I have ever seen/heard.

The morning group on 730 are kinda decent and Kyle Bailey on 610 has some potential but outside of them it's a barren wasteland.

I pay no attention to him. Just found an article while looking for something and not worth the time.

The media just doesn't offer much beyond the obvious takes anymore. You can tell the angles they want to play by their questions. It's just to fuel the existing narratives.

He has no sources. Pretty much everything he reports on is secondhand information or is purely speculative, without any tangible context on which to formulate a legitimate story. Say what you will about other Panthers beat writers, at least they put in the work.
