Falcons check list and how it relates to the Panthers

Holy crap guys!

Let's stop being a bunch of homers and admit that the Saints guy is speaking the absolute truth. The Falcons did everything in their power to win this game. They won the turnover battle, they had an amazing rushing attack and they controlled the clock but still lost despite it all. The Falcons are a superior team to the Panthers, no doubts about it.

Last week we all considered the Panthers to be part of the bottom 5 poo teams of the year..Suddenly after a win, Falcons aren't that superior and the Saints are full of poo?...Cmon.

The Saints we beat all those years did not:

Average FOURTY POINTS per game, they also did not have a respectable defense. Please note that I said RESPECTABLE, not GREAT...But it's a great improvement compared to previous years. Also, they are undefeated and they've played a handful of good teams.

Please don't let this Arizona win get to your heads and feed the homerism. We played well, we need to build on it, but the Saints are a far superior team at this point and our chances are very slim....But....There's a chance.

I mean don't get me wrong the Saints are a good team, but so are we. I've never given up on this season and that's because we have all the pieces to be a good team. The only thing that has been holding us back this season is injuries, coaching, and quarterback play.

But lets really be honest. The Saint's defensive front is soft. That was proven in the way Turner gashed em early on. They're offense is terrific but if you can apply pressure to Brees with your front four then it becomes much harder for them to operate the way they want to.

We have a team designed to control the clock and apply pressure with our front four and keep everything else in front of us on the back seven. Our backers are some of the best in the league and have the ability to play the balanced Saints attack straight up. Our secondary has shown it's ability to be great before and if they have a good game I think they'll be able to keep the Saints offense in check. We did hold them to just a touchdown in our first game last year lets not forget. D-Will, J-Stew and the big uglies will be more than enough for the the Saints D to handle while they're offense is on the sidelines.

Call me what you will, but I see it how it is and I do believe the Panthers will hand the Saints they're first loss of the season next week.

Also, I hope you guys enjoyed your mere 7 over .500 game seasons in your 40 year lifetime :D

2009 Saints>2009 Panthers

but you're still one of the worst organizations in the history of the NFL and the majority of your fan base just recently hopped on the bandwagon which really makes sense considering the Saints have always been good at one thing, losing.

Congrats to the Saints and being 7-0 to this point in the season. Drew Brees is a fantastic quarterback, your defense has improved, Shockey is healthy, and your wide receiving corp is impressive. Your run defense is not as good as the Cardinals, and Drew has an important piece missing from his resume the last few years. As terrible as Jake is, and he is no Drew Brees, he has the keys to the Superdome.

Looking forward to a great game, I cheered for the Saints last night knowing Atlanta's winning would benefit Carolina. The Panthers season will be defined by this week. The Saints have been impressive EVERY WEEK, now the Panthers play the class of the NFC AT THIS POINT IN THE 09 SEASON.

WINNING breeds confidence, losing creates doubt. With Jake, so go the Panthers.

I love it when the opposing teams points out what has happened in past years like that even matters when it comes to the 2009 season. Not saying that you all can not win but what does pass years have to do with this year. If that is the case than why are we 7 and 0? Oh I forgot all the teams we have played beat themselves. Just curious if we do win this we will it be because you beat yourself?

Classy post. This is the type of fan I like to banter with. he gives credit when it is due. Thank you for that. Trust me it is hard to come by especially with Falcon, Giant and Jet fans. They all beat them self. Which last time I checked is not a stat keep by the NFL.

You guys haven't won the NFC South yet. Until you do we're still the champs.

Yeah this is a good team but how much different is this roster from last years? If there is any team that can upset NO is IS the Panthers.

Records aside, how many times have we punked you guys at home with and without Breezee.

Good luck Aint's! Bring your A game...

Do you even pay attention. First off I never, ever said we won the south yet. Now lets see new D Co. who has posted like 9 top 10 defense in the past 10 years. Two new CB's in Greer and Porter. Greer gave up his first TD last night on a mugging by White. D Sharper who just so happens to lead the league in INT's. His play has lead to much improved play by Harper. Will Smith and Grant are healthy. Ellis, although hurt, has a year under his belt and was stuffing the run. A highly ranked run offense. Colston healthy, Bush healthy, Shockey healthy. Should I go on or do you need to pay better attention to your competition.
