So, did Tepper go to Waco for the interview....?  while the Giants sent a plane to pick him up?

Maybe that helped seal the deal.

This is how the conversation went.

Tepper: "Im ready to pay you 70 mil to be the next head coach of the Carolina Panthers. If you get on that plane, my offer drops."

Rhule: *Grabs phone and dails Gettlemen* "Sorry, but I wont be getting on that plane you sent for me, unless you can somehow afford 70 mil."

Gettlemen: "70 mil?!? I aint got that kind of money"

Rhule:*click*

Tepper: "Welcome to the family."

Probably because like most NY based teams, they don't handle being turned down very well. Oddly enough, it keeps happening to them in various sports.

Yeah, the Knicks did the same thing this past offseason when they whiffed on KD...  they immediately tried to push out stories that they didn't want him anyway and didnt attempt to offer a contract.  Nope, just got left hanging...

Someone should categorize the different types of Huddle members. We have Panthers fans. Cam Newton fans. Trolls. What else?

I think there’s a small percentage of this board that don’t even talk sports. I don’t know how they even found this place but all they do is discuss politics in the tinderbox lol

Funny part is that they act like their dumb rants make a difference!

When I was younger I thought I could change peoples minds about politics if I won the argument. After winning several political arguments it occurred to that not only did the loser not change their mind, but I royally pissed them off by challenging their false world views. I have not argued about politics in over 20 years.
