I'm just a little worry about Baylor next year.:Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Right now we're just kind of starting the discussion cold. It's not likely he'd take an entire staff and leave his successor stuck. We just don't know which could come and which could stay behind.

I'd ultimately expect a mix. Some Baylor guys, maybe some former Giants guys, some others we haven't heard of, etc.

Actually Blackburn is really good and one of the few I would like to keep.

I've been tumbling over this for a while and I can't help but think he IS a good ST coach, but that group just gave up as the season wore on and Rivera was shown the door.

STs are generally bottom of the roster guys and motivation is a big deal with them. They are almost all on limited time careers in the NFL and it's hard to keep them playing at top notch if the situation above is in flux or stagnating.

I really think that letting Blackburn go right now might not be in our best interests, as he is a better coach than the product that was on the field.

Still, those punt returns for touchdowns, lack of tackling and inability to catch punts are mighty worrisome.

I look at those 2 blocked puts at the first of the season and having to deal with a rookie kicker who was a 70% kicker in college and making it work at all.  Not to mention 3, 4, 100 different guys returning punts and kickoffs and not being like one of the bottom special teams groups in the NFL as a small miracle.

You make a darned good case for Chase.

Really? How many blunders did our STs make this year?

An ex-linebacker isn't going to make a difference as far as kickers go. The coverages and returns were his responsibility and it was a complete cluster fug.

Only at the end of the season when the players gave up
