Vikes just dumped DB Coach Jerry Gray.

He has no connection to Rhule, Coughlin or the others that I know of, but our DB coach choices aren't so hot unless we go after someone like Kris Richard or Ray Horton.

I like him, just nervous about Phil being the defensive coordinator without some NFL advice guy IE Wade or Rob

What's interesting is the news that he doesn't want to finalize the offensive coach hires until the OC is in place.

If the OC were already chosen, I'd expect that to be a fairly easy thing.

But if the OC decision were still up in the air...

Rhule is clearly waiting on LSU's Brady, otherwise he could have just hired Lions QB coach as OC by now. Bill Voth tweeted "and there's more" or something to that affect when Rhule was hired, he was probably referring to Joe Brady.

Yep the Voth tweet excited me at the time. I think once the OC is confirmed we will get a bunch of hires, just my opinion.

I guess we all better watch this game tonight and see how our future OC looks.

I say that because Rhule is clearly waiting on him. The media peppering us with LSU contract talk is just the same as the media chirping about Rhule and the Giants and the subsequent change of direction they had. Reporters being fed stuff from LSU.

I watched some Jabaal Sheard tape being that he is close with Phair and man I think he's even an upgrade over Mario. I also don't think he would be that expensive. Do you guys think there is any chance we bring him in? Would love him, Mario and Burns coming off the edge. (He is a great run stopping DE)

FYI: Rhule isn't in Charlotte today. He's in Nashville speaking at the AFCA convention.

That's not an easy thing to find.

He just got to the Lions in 2019, and I’d assume he would have at least a 2 year deal.

People also need to be aware that regardless of how this game goes...(good or bad)...one game doesnt make him a good or bad hire.

Some assistants and position coaches are kept on 1 year deals.

This x 100. No issue with Phil coming with Matt, but in no way do I want him calling D against Sean Payton, Bruce, or Julio Jones. 

I am crazy that no one else is against this??

Yes I know its nothing has been confirmed, just keep reading "DC Phil" etc etc.
