“I'm hearing two veteran NFL assistants who may be joining @Panthers new coaching staff are Kevin M. Gilbride (tight ends) & Pat Flaherty (offensive line). Both were w/the @Giants when new CAR HC Matt Rhule was NY's assistant o-line coach in 2012. Roles TBD @SiriusXMNFL“

 

Gilbride was an offensive coordinator for various teams for 18 years dating back to 1990. Even coached the chargers for 22games before getting fired in 97-98. His win loss record for them was 6-16.

Flaherty has been an 0-line coach for various teams for the past 16 years. Last year he was with Miami.

Time for Rhule to get out of his comfort zone and try to get to know some people by interviewing them.  When you have one single year of NFL experience this approach is limiting.

Honestly all these "rumored" coaches are killing me- Baylor guys and fing Pat Flaherty?????? LSU guy tiring to get a bigger contract since Tepper is going off. 

There is a bunch of prime coaches on the dallas staff, forget all the "lolz" dallas memes. Most are free and are proven legit NFL coaches.

With OL & DL being a HUUUUGE issue, no FAs or rookies will save either this season. It comes down to hiring great coaches for each unit. Pat Flaherty is terrible and maybe the most fired coach in recent history.

I had heard the deal was already agreed upon but just not signed... I'm holding out hope Rhule and Tepper still get to talk to him.

Well, with Rhule and Brady sharing an agent, I can't imagine communication between them is a difficult thing.

It may not be official communication but you know how that goes.

It won’t be a staff full of college guys, there will be a mix I’m sure.

That's not even true of the few names that we've already heard.

Ryan, Snow, Flaherty, Gilbride and Brady all have NFL experience.
