I really want to get Derrick Brown with our #7 pick but will still be happy if we  select either Wills or Thomas if Brown is already taken.

If we're not drafting a 1st round QB .. Then I kinda don't want to draft a QB at all.. We still got 2 young guys on the roster who could develop in better situations... Adding another developmental QB which a 2nd round QB is doesn't make sense... Brown, Thomas, or Okulad  at 7 are fine with me...

Don't know anything about Jordan Love, but he played for Utah St and had 20 td 17 int this year? There must be some ridiculous untapped potential there because that's hardly starter numbers for that conference

There's a real chance we could struggle next season. Please, for the love of Peter, Paul, and Mary, don't trade the 2021 first round pick.

Pass on Jordan Love. We aren't cutting Kyle Allen and a year into his career we aren't likely to cut Will Grier ( who our coach thinks is decent anyway ). So we are set at backup. Like it or not that is the reality of the situation. So if you are drafting a QB he has to be a day one starter type of player. If he isn't then you are hurting the team this year. And if you aren't going to enhance the team this year, then you might as well trade Cam and Luke to get picks for next year because we will be drafting high again and need ANOTHER QB. It just doesn't make sense.

As for Jordan Love as a pro-prospect:

Not a lot of guys in a trash conference go from stud sophmore to sloppy junior as fast as he did. He threw more passes for a lower completion percent and less yards. He went from 39 total TDs (7 rushing) and 6 INTs to 20 total TDs (0 rushing) and 17 INTs. He lead a team to second in scoring in the country as a sophmore to 60th as a junior. We don't need another guy where everything has to go right for him to succeed.

Yeah, I'm curious about him, but I saw his stats took a big hit this year over the season prior. I don't follow college ball closely enough to know the details. Why the dip? Any consensus on that?

Seems like they were a one year wonder as a team. The year before last, and this year combined they went 6-7 and 7-6 for a .500 ballclub. The middle year they went 11-2. Its a really trash conference as well. They went 2-3 out of conference, 4-1 OOC, and 1-4 OOC. They lost every game they played against anyone ranked in his three years so far as well. This year LSU's defense held him to 150 passing yards on 50% completions and 0 TDs to 3 INTs. If they play poor competition they look ok. If they play anyone decent he looks awful.
