He admitted himself he went 2-10 and 1-11 his first season. That’s not how the NFL jives. Hurney and Tepper are running this organization straight into the ground.

What you just said is the opposite of analytics.

People overreacting to the Cam response. He basically said he doesn't know him or watched him as a player yet. He said he didn't know any of our players besides DJ Moore.

But given his "long term" approach I wouldn't be shocked if he decided to move on. If we going to build this for the longterm it's kind of hard to see how Cam will fit in that picture. Cam is a win now QB not a rebuild project.

Just my speculation I think we move on from Cam. I Hope im wrong though.

Cam is a "I need a solid comeback QB" and that's just might be what he gets.

He admitted in a radio interview just after his hire that he didn't know anything about our personnel.

Out of everything that he said, and more importantly didn't say, I took 1 HUGE thing out of this.

Rhule can speak well.

Outside of that, it was just words and filler.

Same repeated canned responses to everyone on the roster, including Cam, which I'm assuming he has been told to do.

As a guy who didn't want him, I have to say, he was incredibly impressive...  furthermore, he clearly has an amazing gift for speaking.  I kept watching to see if he looked down at dome notes, or at least dome bullet points, and I don't think he did until the Q&A portion lol.  I know I'm a fairly intelligent guy, but public speaking is TOUGH...  so when I see someone be able to just go off the cuff like that and hold court/command the complete attention of the room while not sounding like a generic robot, I'm always in awe.  He made some incredible points and really laid out his core values well.

A couple other observations:

*The point he made about identifying the "right guys" and playing those guys whether they were freshmen or seniors is paramount to fixing the culture here.

*In the same vein, his views on accountability, being competitive, and being "the best" we can be are all refreshing.

*Was disappointed in his non-answer about Cam.  There is absolutely no way they didn't discuss Cam as part of the hiring process...  which leads me to believe that their plan moving forward doesn't involve Cam.  I hope I'm wrong, because that would suck, but I actually was gonna post last night that their emphasis on "building" coinciding with hiring Rhule from college signaled hitting the reset button...  so, I was going to say, if he gave a generic/ambiguous answer about Cam, then they likely are resetting at QB as well.  And what happened?  Exactly that.  I hope I'm wrong, but man, that didn't sound good.

Oh, gotcha.

Got Rhule on the brain right now.

Wonder how much it cost Tepper to trade up to a newer model?

His first wife wasnt too bad either, for an old broad.  Im sure she got millions at least out of the deal though.

It’s only fair. I’m not here to poo on this hire. I’m here because analytical trends say we are going to suck for a long fuging time.

Maybe, especially with Hurney still here.  But I'm willing to give this guy a shot at building something special.  It's not going to happen overnight and I understand that.  At least he's a nice guy I can support even if he ultimately fails here.  I can guarantee he will give it everything he has to make this team something to be proud of.  That's what we all ultimately want, right?
