So what did we learn tonight?

The Pats' defense gave up 27 and 28 points in games 6 and 7. Sound familiar?

I bet if you go back and pull the #'s NOs is turning the ball over at a much higher rate than the 07 Pats did up tillt his point.......NO has given teams chances....eventually someone will take it to them. Only a matter of time......

I ain't trying to knock the Saints, I think they will at least get to the NFCCG. At least. But they are beatable. They will lose in the regular season. They are also entering a divisional game against a team that simply plays well against them and is built to play against them right now.....not saying Carolina will win but if Jake doesn't sabotage the game it will be a close game imo.

if the panthers don't fall into an early hole then they have a good shot at keeping it close. if the saints go up by 14 or 21 the game could end up a massacre as Jake would be forced to throw.
i fully believe that if either team goes up by 2 or three scores the game has been decided.

not that the saints are incapable of mounting a comeback but if the panthers D have been able to hold the saints D long enough to get up by that far then they probably know how to handle the saints offense.

Miami thought that too. Payton and Williams have made exceptional adjustments as well as game plans.

that's probably going to be pretty accurate.
the thing is, i don't see either team going up that far ahead. the panthers defense just isn't capable of it like they were last year and the panther defense is vastly improved from where they were even two weeks ago. they are definitely showing to be stronger than last year.

the saints defense is also going to be able to hold any passing offense we might try to get going so most everything we do will have to come through the run game. we can run up some big scores that way but i don't think that this week it will happen.

this week should end up being the lowest or second lowest scoring game the saints have had in two years.

i just have a lot of confidence in this defense right now. at any rate, i don't see you guys running like you have with other teams this year.

Much as the Miami Dolphins knew how to handle the Saints offense in that ga--

Oh, wait....

The Panthers will win this game Sunday.

Fox knows Payton well and he schemes well against him.

Fox does well against his division.

Delhomme does well in the Dome.

It is true Delhomme is not the QB he used to be, but, he doesn't have to be to hand-off to Williams and Stewart.

I believe, and as I'm no huge fan of this guy, that Peppers will be key in this game, very key, he will be on a big stage against one of the two unbeaten teams.

I believe that the new DBs will contain the Saints WRs.

I believe the new DTs will do well against the Saints running game.

I believe the Panthers special teams will still suck.

I believe Jeremy Shockey will have a good day.

I believe the Panthers will again run for 250+ yards as Delhomme for obvious reasons has his issues, and a chest contusion on top of it. He will not pass for more than 15 attempts.

I believe in Santa Claus.

I believe the Panthers may not have a 'playoff year'; but, I believe nothing would make them happier than beating their division opponents.

I believe the final score is going to be Panthers 24, Saints 21, and look for one of the Saints stars to be knocked out of the game. The Panthers have been known to hurt people.

Screw the Saints, and their last place schedule that helps contribute to their 7-0 record.

Rest assured, should they win the division this year, they will find next year a lot tougher to navigate.
