Sean Ryan developed Watson in Houston and got a career year out of Stafford before his injury this year. I’d say he’s a great candidate for OC regardless of HC.

I think some are sleeping on Ryan. He has been mentioned prior as a rising OC candidate in previous offseasons for open positions. 

As for defense, I do agree that Snow can be on the staff, but not the DC calling the shots. Nothing about Snow really excites me as a DC.

I'd prefer Phillips for that veteran coaching knowledge, but it doesn't have to be Wade....but someone with NFL experience would balance out the ship more, IMO.

that is why I addressed the OC and then said potentially a college DC.   Because he clearly wants to bring the DC with him who has been his DC everywhere he has been.  And given the fact, his D has been the best thing about his teams.....he probably will want this dude to be a big part of things.  I think that is a reasonable take.

Yeah Ryan’s resume looks pretty good. Success at WR coach AND QB coach is nice. Hasn’t ever called plays though. 

Very curious to see which QB in the draft they target or if they go the FA route

nah.  Houston drafted Michael Jordan.  Watson is uniquely special.  Has always been.  Can't credit Ryan with developing Watson into something.  You watch them win this past weekend? Yeah, that is Watson just carrying and overcoming bad coaches and a weak cast.  Watson is basically Cam Newton in Houston but happens to have 1 great WR.

I mean, every player they just attempted to credit him for developing was a first round freakshow.   That is like crediting Mike Shula with developing Cam into a great talent.
