Mack Brown won a bowl game his first season.  #notimpressed

Mostly kidding. I like that he turned those programs around, however, those 2-10 and 1-11 records are a bit concerning. You’d think a great motivator, leader, and game-planner could do a little better than that even if the roster wasn’t great. Isn’t that what we want, a guy that can get the most out of players and win even with inferior rosters? Temple isn’t playing a power 5 schedule and there had to have been at least a couple more beatable cupcakes on Baylor’s schedule. Correct me if I’m wrong, I didn’t check what the schedules actually were, just an educated guess.

I’ll give ya the Temple one. But he did have them nationally ranked in two different seasons. That’s not easy at Temple.

The Baylor turnaround is miraculous. Art Briles left that program underground. The things that went on there are hard to read. And for MR to get THAT program back to nearly a CFP berth, I think is impressive.

Wins 52% of his games. Sounds about right for this place.

he took over a 1-11 team so going 52% over his time there is pretty nutso. there were 4 high quality recruits on his whole team.

now he's taking over a team with Cam Newton and Christian McCaffery and Luke Kuechley

Ahh yes which is why Texas is doing so well.

Harbaugh did great, Kelly was over .500 with then got eaten alive in the 49ers mess, Carroll is an interesting case but he never did anything in the pros, Marrone has somehow gotten two winning seasons.

what. pete carrol did nothing?
