Damn were y'all in these meetings & know Tepper's process? You can have a plan, but you need to be able to make judgment calls based on the information presented to you. Clearly Tepper liked what he heard from Rhule enough that he was willing to deviate from the "carefully planned process".

I don't think he was the best candidate to choose from, but I'll be cautiously optimistic. Although,  being cautiously optimistic never works with this team. IMO this has a far better probability of blowing up in our face.

How does anybody know that Rhule wasnt actually their top target all along?  Do we have people here with a direct line to Tepper or something?

The schedule of interviews this week was public. We moved McD up. Etc. I’m sure everything was just a smokescreen, though, right?

I have no idea what their ultimate plan was, and neither does anybody else around here.  Seems to me they got the guy they wanted.
