All I want to know is who kept running Cook outside into a wall repeatedly on the goal line and the final drives that stalled and almost gave the Saints the game?

They only tried to do what worked for nearly the entire game before that, so I can’t blame him/whomever made that call. They were having far more success off that left end than they were up the middle.

The only reason we started to slow it in the second half was because Hendrickson was out there instead of Edwards.

the best part was the saints players crying on the field.   its my wallpaper now.   i licked the tears off the tv.  they were so delicious.  it will always be one of my favorite memories.  a happy place.

Fair observation: He doesn't have anything close to the resumè that McDaniels does.

Equally fair observation: He also doesn't have anything close to the same amount of baggage.

I can't stand when you bring up McDaniels resumè .. thanks Brady and Belichick ..

McDaniels resumè when he is not paired with the greatest of all time QB and greatest of all time Head Coach is total trash. Stop.

I agree with most of this, but it was a bad call for a goal line play.  It was going to fail in that situation and a wasted down.  But it didn't cost them the game so I'm happy.

Not my top choice, but I wouldn't hate it.

He's the youngest (6 years younger than McDaniels) and least experienced (3 years less than Bieniemy;  if you count Bieniemy's playing experience, 12 years less) of all the candidates. Basically, this year's version of "the next Sean McVay" that was popular (and mostly crashed and burned) last year.

If he's the hire I'll get behind it, but those things make me nervous.

Granted, all of this year's candidates have something that makes me nervous.

Well as an OC, one could say that before Daniels went to New England it had been a long dry spell for the Patriots(in terms of the Patriots, not everyone else ha).

it does take a perfect storm to win A Super Bowl. It takes something that no one has ever seen before to get to 9 and win 6 in 20 seasons. I believe Josh went to 4 of them?

what is totally up in the air is HeadCoach.

now, if Josh brings in Wade Phillips on defense, then it could work. Josh did win a playoff game with THETIMTEBOW against the Steelers who were still quite good at the time!

I see what you’re getting at though, considering how things are crowded on the goal line.

However at the same time, their big uglies they were pulling around the end were bulldozing our corners, safeties, linebackers and everyone else out there everywhere else on the field, why not give it another go on the goal line and let them get that head of steam instead of just trying to plug it up the middle where you know it’s stout?

That’s one thing I wish Payton would actually do, stick with what’s ****ing working. Must be nice.

I mean they won the toss and scored a TD on the first possession of OT. the game winning play where he got the nickle CB matched up with Rudolph on the outside was a stroke of brilliance.

He's just repeating what someone else said.
