The Patriots need to move on from Tom Brady and trade for Cam Newton

You mean, McDaniel’s system. Not good for Cam if he’s the hire.

Not what I meant but it is a good point you make.

EDIT:  When I say "system" I mean the whole thing...culture, expectations, tolerance for mistakes, the 24/7 commitment, etc...wasn't referencing the offense specifically.

Was he a McCarthy guy? Is that what this meltdown is about?

Chuck just seems to get triggered for random reasons...or no reason. He's gotten himself banned numerous times during these rants.

It's kind of a shame for the people whose threads he hijacks while he's going off.

I know what my eyeballs tell me from watching him, and all the other college QB's perform over the past 3 decades.  Burrow is one of the best I personally have ever seen in college.  I know its only 1 season, but what a freaking season it was.  He is supremely accurate.

His success in college is unquestioned. No doubt about that. I kind of view him like I do Drew Brees. Brees without Sean Payton was pretty middling, Brees with Sean Payton has been fantastic. Burrow without Joe Brady was pretty middling, Burrow with Joe Brady was pretty amazing. It made me think of something Steve Smith said on the radio in the past few weeks about associating QB success in the NFL to the play designer.

I am a little skeptical of Burrow, so I will track his success in the NFL for sure. My theory is that he is just a game managing type player(which is not the slur that people seem to think it is). I am very curious to see him in a few years and see how he develops.

Accuracy means jack all.  For example, here are the 30 most accurate seasons by a QB in college FB history:

Only five of them - EVER - led to actual NFL QB's.  So . . . 17%.

Not making the case for or against Burrow . . . but it shows that accuracy in the college game doesn't even begin to say anything about their pro careers.

I can't argue with that.  This is all a hypothetical conversation anyways, I highly doubt we will be making that kind of move.  Now, if Tua decides to come out, and is available at 7, I could see us taking him there.

I made that argument before about that level of accuracy but one thing that does seem to correlate somewhat is that if you are an inaccurate college QB, you usually do not improve that in the NFL. Extreme accuracy in college does not directly translate to the NFL, however.

Tua, to me, is a much more dynamic player and is the clear best of the QB's. However, the injury issues are extreme with him and I am not envisioning him being able to have a long NFL career as much as he was banged up in college.

Yes, and all highly accurate QB's are not created the same.  How many of those offensives were dink and dunk, versus LSU this year, which was the opposite of dink and dunk? For anyone to just discard college accuracy is crazy to me though.  Would people rather have an inaccurate college QB?

Can we stop quoting the dude?  Ignore can only do so much and the quoting makes us have to see his posts everywhere.  Stahp.

And to the USA Today article, no.  Not happening.

If Caserio-McDaniels-Brady somehow comes to fruition, I'll eat balut.

Trade Cam for their #1 pick. Belichick was that stupid that he traded a 2nd for Sanu. We don’t want crybaby Cam anymore

Whenever I see ur posts, I just highly disagree with you. I do not like ur opinions, they are highly questionable,
