The Patriots need to move on from Tom Brady and trade for Cam Newton

Now you're saying that one completely unproven, unknown rookie is worth four?  That's not helping.  Would you rather roll the dice four times or once?  I'd rather roll four, and I think most others would as well.  The history of the draft is littered with "sure fire" high picks that utterly fell on their faces for one reason or another.

I don't think there is any pick slot that I'd give up multiple high round (1-3) picks to get to.  Would I throw in a 4-7 rounder to move up a few spots?  Sure, probably, the odds go way down there.

Remember, this is the sort of thinking that Tepper wants to see used more often going forward.  Analytics and statistics.

I think if you are a QB needy team and you have a chance to land a guy like Joe Burrow, then you do whatever you reasonably can that does not completely cripple your team.  How often do those pics that would be traded actually hit on good players anyways?  So, a short answer would be "Yes, I would trade a first round pick and 2 2nd rounders to get a great, cheap young QB prospect.  Thats the recipe for success in today's NFL.

Belichick's system wouldn't work for Cam -- way too intense and demanding.

On Rivera's way out Cam sent him a message saying "thank you for letting me be me"....

....Belichick ain't gonna do that.

I kind of doubt Beiniemy will either.

Wait, are you saying mods can see PM's between members?

Are you actually surprised by that?

I think that depends on how you value Joe Burrow. My general feeling is that not every team is going to view him as the savior that some seem to. I also think that the media and fans overrate him in compared to what the general scouting community view him as.

We will see, though.

You mean, McDaniel’s system. Not good for Cam if he’s the hire.

That's a very thinly veiled cheap shot.

I know what my eyeballs tell me from watching him, and all the other college QB's perform over the past 3 decades.  Burrow is one of the best I personally have ever seen in college.  I know its only 1 season, but what a freaking season it was.  He is supremely accurate.
