Teams are winning and going to the playoffs with 40 year old QBs and you guys are wanting to give up on a 30 year old Cam Newton.

fug outta here with that bullshit.

Waiting for Cam to get that come back player of the year and remind people who he is now that he'll have a creative offensive minded head coach and will be fully healthy

I would rather fill some holes this offseason and draft bpa. Keep cam on his deal and see what happens. Worst case scenario we suck again and get a shot a T Lawerence. No way I’d sell the farm to draft Burrow and not have any picks to build around him. We’d be in the same situation we are in now with a broken quarterback that had an oline made of duct tape and elmers glue.

You can throw the trade value charts out the window

When a team like Cincy is desperate for a QB and has a franchise guy sitting there at #1, there's very little precedent for trading that

The Chargers traded Eli Manning, but he had an extremely powerful agent who convinced them he would only play in New York.  Joe Burrow is willing to play in Cincy, so it would have to be something out of this world.

Luke, CMC, DJ Moore, our next 7 1st round picks.

Something dumb

What would it cost?

Hill: No. 7, 38, 69, 2021 first and 2022 first for No. 1.

Traditional: No. 7, 2021 first and second for No. 1

Meers: No. 7 and 38 for No.1

What's the likelihood it happens?

A lot will depend on who the Panthers hire to replace Ron Rivera. If it's, say, Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman, he might want to stick with Newton given the success he has had with Lamar Jackson, and before that, Colin Kaepernick in San Francisco. If it's someone else and they want to start fresh with "their" quarterback, moving up for Burrow is a more realistic possibility, assuming Tua doesn't declare and that they don't consider Herbert a top-10 pick. We would put the chances at 35 percent.

In our latest mock draft, we had the Panthers taking wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

I am not*in favor of taking a qb. This is just a hypothetical.

Cam Newton 2020 2021 1st 2022 2nd

If the Bengals are feeling like they can win now, they might opt for the veteran and the #7 pick this year to bolster their team. They then have 2 1st round picks next year and 2 2nds in 2022. I think we probably have the only offer in the league the Bengals would consider.
