I think that's why they moved it up. They jumped in front of the Giants to interview Rhule and now jumped in front of Browns to interview McDaniels. Obvious to me that they identified those two as top candidates and wanted first crack at them.

My one argument and one speculation against that:

1. If the Panthers know/think that McD runs the full slate of interviews then why move up?

2. I think Tepper doesn't want to play that game and moved it up to show he wants McD most of all. I think Tepper interviews him tomorrow and offers him the job. If McD asks to wait or hesitates I think Tepper either lets him sleep on it til Wed morning or rescinds the offer and moves on. Either way, I think we get a hard yes or no at latest Wed morning. Tepper doesn't want to be left hanging on the other candidates with any wait and see/uncertainty about McD coming back later. We roll with either Stefanski or Bieniemy, or something crazy happens and we hit Rhule with a hail mary that connects and steal him at the end.

It's possible, and I'm not going off anything other than what I've read on this notion. Anything can happen.

If you connect the dots we know Tepper likes McDaniels from what Breer and Volin has been saying. Now he moves up to Tuesday to make it to the front of the line. I get the general feeling that McDaniels is #1 on his coach big board.

The one issue with these interviews is we have that bumbling idiot Hurney sitting in there. Who knows what type of garbage he is throwing around.

I believe we have to wait until at least Wednesday before we can sign McDaniels. Perry has to get his interview to complete the Rooney rule, and that interview is Wednesday.
