I’ve been vocal about Mike being the best HC hire or at least knowing what we get.

McDaniels is just like the rest of the HC coordinators— maybe he works out and maybe he flops big time.

i think it’s a path to being the Lions or Browns by hiring one of them.

After watching the play calling from Stefanski, absolutely I want McDaniels!  I thought an Ivy League guy would be smart enough to ditch a play that hadn't worked all day?  I guess analytics said if he kept trying that ineffective toss sweep play enough times, it was bound to work at some point.  Except when it didn't.

no and neither does losing a single game mean McDaniels and certainly a bad offensive coordinator.

He also went to a SB with a qb that's similar to what we got. Harbaugh's has and will always be a better NFL coach. Not saying hes the answer. Just dont conveniently leave out his NFL track record. He also did a damn good job at Stanford...and hes one of the few coaches outside of Frank Reich that was a starting qb in the league. He isnt trash.

He did call a hell of a drive in OT.

We talk about OCs.  Bottom line....weve gotta have the players. If the qb cant hit a deep ball then the playcalling is pointless.  If you're line is losing the battles up front it's useless. You can really only judge a play caller if all things were equal regarding players in the game. That's why an OC can look awesome one game and like ass the next.

I only saw the 4th quarter of that game, so I arguably saw the Vikings worst offensive period of the game.  When they got to OT and got into the outer-reaches of FG range, I was wondering if they were going to get conservative.  Then they winged it downfield to inside the 5.

I guess I was used to watching the Panther offense get to the 35 yard line and go into "preserve the (long) FG attempt" mode.  I expected the fade on second down, but regardless, when they got in position they went for the kill.

As for what I saw in the rest of the 4th quarter, it was very unremarkable.
