I could list all the reasons why your wrong, but that won’t matter because it’s not going to change your opinion. Instead I’ll just ask you Who you would pick if you owned the team and why.

McCarthy because if we want an offensive coach why not go with the best offensive mind ... McCarthy is an offensive guru ..

Every time the Patriots have won a Super Bowl they have fielded a great defense .. I think every time the Patriots have won they've had a Top 10 scoring defense .. the Pats don't even win with offense they win with defense

You and I have agreed on practically nothing in our brief history.  Yet, we are in violent agreement on this.

We have six candidates.  Four are unproven as HC's with a lot of question marks about how they would handle various tasks and situations.  One was a success, winning a SB, but his teams probably didn't live up to the expectations of the fans (whether they were realistic or not I will not judge). 

The last guy was a train wreck in his stint as a HC.  He traded the starting QB for a career journeyman, drafted a big reach in the next draft, lost the locker room in almost record time, finished his two seasons (almost two seasons) on a 5-17 run after a 6-0 start, pretty much had everybody in the organization and the fans wanting to fire him with live ammunition, and then went "back home."  Despite the glowing reviews from NE, let's keep in mind that even while given the freedom there to show some things, he was also on a leash.  If he screwed up, Belichick (and probably Brady, as well) was going to snap it.  He knew he was not exactly unfettered.  What we know is "he won't screw up if somebody akin to God in the organization is above him."  Oh, and his goal is to have more power in where ever he goes next, which is the equivalent of your teenage son, who crashed the car into a tree a month after getting his license, saying he wants his own car and say about when he can and can't drive.

I haven't even mentioned the Indy situation or his fetish for ignoring the NFL's filming rules.

And people are coming up with every excuse in the book to justify what he has done in the past.

Let someone else bet on the hope that "he's changed."
