Sometimes the Panthers are so bad that he has to go on tangents about something else.

If Ron is going to go all nepotism he’s not gonna make more than 3 seasons in DC.  It does piss me off that he failed to hire a real D coordinator after McDermott left.

But in all seriousness, Ron needs to come get his boy. Him not hiring him on would be a serious blow to Washington. Here, you’ve got Rivera going after everyone of his old buddies, but he’s not coming after you?

Isn't it a rule assistant coaches under contract with a current team can't be interviewed by another unless it's a lateral move or a promotion? That's why all the hires so far have been the same position title they had in Carolina and why Turner was able to interview as an OC candidate.

Could it be possible Rivera can't interview Washington because he's still under contract with the Panthers under the title of Defensive Coordinator? Might be something to watch when the Panthers hire a new HC and let Washington walk.

Washington is technically still a possibility. Speculation is that Mills will be the DL coach but he still could turn out to be an assistant instead.

I guess by Ron taking Matsko with him he feels that it was a lack of talent on the line and not a lack of coaching...
