Stefanski to interview

I've been telling you guys Stefanski is Tepper's target and that Jourdan Rodrigue didn't have good sources to Tepper

If you understand Big Tep, Stefanski is the only guy from the list that makes any sense in what he's looking for

All Panthers fans should be extremely excited by a possible Stefanski hire, but he's in extremely high demand right now.  If the Vikings lose to the Saints tomorrow, their ownership will highly consider firing Zimmer and elevating Stefanski to head coach (not to mention Cleveland).

So hope for the Vikings to win tomorrow.  Stefanski has high potential to be the next great coach

Interesting take--makes sense.  I wanted him early then he seemed to fly off the radar.

With Cook in and out of the lineup and Cousins' limitations, he has done a great job with that O.  I am not as sold as you are, but I see it.  Earlier in another thread I suggested that the Panthers seemed to be in wait mode--no sense of urgency.  McDaniels or Stef could be the reason.

I made a thread about why Tepper would hire the Ivy league educated Stefanski a month ago, before he was even rumored to be linked with us in any way.

McCarthy/Bien/McDaniels/Rhule are not Tepper guys;  he's looking for a brilliant, analytical mind.   Stefanski is our guy if he takes our offer.

David Tepper was famously known for only hiring Ivy League graduates at Appaloosa Management

Stefanski is basically this year's version of the "next Sean McVay" model that everybody was going after last year.

All those guys flopped.

He might be different, but he's got less high level experience than most of the other candidates (except maybe Bieniemy, I'd have to look) so I'm not sure how seriously to take him.

Him or Bieniemy. I'd be happy with either of those

I keep going back and forth.  They all have names that are hard to spell (Damn you for leaving us, John Fox) and that counts for something.

You are making a strong argument.

I would

Tepper has been all about elevating the best and brightest his entire life.  The guys he hires at Appaloosa are some of the most intelligent graduates in the entire country.

But now all of a sudden, faced with his biggest decision, he's going to hire a running backs coach who has never proven his cognitive merit, because he's a "leader of men" and laminates Andy Reid's playbook.   Not a chance.

No, he wants Stefanski, the coordinator with the highest IQ in the league.

I can totally see that for his hedge fund, but the NFL is not high finance, and the Ivy Leagues are not known for their strong football programs.
