I think he's a tremendous athlete and arguably the most talented skill player in this years draft. My counterpoint: the top 5 teams with the best WR1 & WR2 yards are not in the playoffs.

That doesn't mean we don't need improvements there. WR is absolutely 100% a need.

Curt hasn't proven poo, we'd hear every year how Armanti was tearing up camp and didn't do poo on the field. D.J., Greg and CMC did well with Kyle. Curt did not.

I do think we used him wrong, I truly believe he's mostly a slot/gadget guy and deserves to be on the team next year. But a pure WR he is not.

After that, besides D.J., who do we have?

We don't need two WRs to out up 1,200+ yards each but if Jeudy or Lamb is a guy we like it's not a reach or a glamour pick to go WR. We need one

Guess which team gave the second most sacks? It doesn’t matter how good we are at WR if our QB doesn’t have a good pocket to throw from.

What is the point of having great receivers if you QB can't get the ball to them because he is laying on his ass.  Last year the Rams O-line was one of the best in the league and they were throwing the ball all over the place.  This year half their line left in the offseason and they don't make the playoffs.  Same receivers, worse O-line.  Fix the lines, offense and defense, then worry about the skill positions.

Remember how "Dominant" Atlanta was going to be, Adding Ridley in with Julio and Sanu?

That didn't work out, why?  Because their OL sucked.

Thats why they drafted a OL in the top 15 And traded back up into the 1st for another OL.

That Atlanta OL that sucked to where they had to add 2 1st round OL was still better than our current OL.

Jeudy is a BEAST, and I wish we were in a position that we can take him.

But the QB cant get him the ball from his back.  And if we dont go DL in this draft, we HAVE to hit it in FA.  Not only because they suck and we were the leagues worst run D, but also just becaide pure #s (KK Short could be our only signed DT going into the draft).

We are hurting so badly at other needs, that we cant go and grab a top WR in the 1st unless you want to become the Falcons.

Well that saved me a lot of time. Dead on. We have ONE DT. Unless we are giving Poe another 10M. We need 3-4 more depending on what defense we run. Not taking a WR, which is a luxury pick compared to the lines. Especially in a deep WR class.

It also doesn't matter if our QB has time if no one gets open.

Are you going to tell me that one OT in the top 10 is going to fix all our problems on the line? A rookie on top of that?

I'm not saying we don't draft OT if it's there but to hanfwave drafting a WR as WE HAVE NO OT is dumb and shortsighted and doesn't really take into account how team building works.

What were you trying to say here?

According to Next Gen Stats.. DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel had an average separation (space between him & the nearest defender) of 2.6 yards. Here are some other receivers with an average separation of 2.6; Breshad Perriman, OBJ, Michael Thomas, Stefon Diggs, DK Metcalf. I could go on. To say that our receivers don't get open is a falsehood and misleading to people who don't take the time to research and just spew out whatever they see armchair QB's say online.
