NCfans 2020 Mock Offseason 1.0

Here is my mock offseason based a little off what I think and a little what id like to see.

HC: Josh McDaniels- ive been predicting Mike McCarthy the whole time but now think it mau be McDaniels especially after RoaringRiot seemed so confident.

Cuts:

Poe

Olsen

Wright

Resigning players

Addison- new regime but takes the hometown discount to stay and try to retire here

Bradberry- they Will Not let this guy walk.  Of they do, expect a full blowup tank rebuild.  Think Bradberry gets around 14 mil a year.

Chris Hogan- Familar face for McDaniels

Tre Boston- yes, Hurney resigns him

FA:

Eric Ebron- Tre Boston hinted today about wanting to team up.  With Olsen gone and McDaniels using 2TE sets like they like to use in NE

DJ Humphries- have seen this hinted elsewhere, Humphries is a local kid who could be brought in for a 2nd chance after not panning out in Arizona.

Mackenzie Alexander- he finally had his best season  in Minnesota this year, the Clemson product/nickel CB was the highest graded CB in Minnesota's terrible secondary this year.  Alexander fills a Huge position of need for the panthers at the nickel.

1st: Derrick Brown- ive mocked OTs such as Wirfs here a ton.   1. Because its a Huge need and really could be the pick and 2. Brown may be gone by the time we pick.  Brown is a Monster who can play 3-4 DE like Aaron Donald in LA

2nd: Leki Fotu- a guy who ive been drafting in the 3rd.  But Fotu's stock is about to rise.   We've really been hurt in the interior since Star left.  Even though Hurney wasnt GM at the time, the last time our interior and run D was this bad.  We double dipped at DT.  And We do it again here.  Fotu is that powerful NT who will comand attention in the middle

3rd: We trade back up into the 2nd, giving up our 4th rounder.  Solomon Kindley is the pick.  The mammoth LG fills the hole we have.

5th: Mctelvin Agim- a complete overhaul at DL.  KK Short is the only DT on roster entering the Draft.  Agim provides young depth on the interior.

6th: Rodrigo Blankenship- we've had kicking woes the last few years, so we use a pick on a the talented kicker our of Georgia.

7th: BPA

QB: Cam, Allen, Grier- we keep Cam And the other 2 so McDaniels tries to groom

RB: CMC

WR1: Moore

WR2: Samuel, Hogan

TE1: Ebron

TE2: Thomas

LT: Humphries, Little

LG: Kindley

C: Paradis

RG: Turner

RT: Moton, Daley

DE: Brown

NT: Fotu

DE: KK Short

OLB: Addison

MLB: Shaq

MLB: Luke

OLB: Burns

CB: Bradberry

FS: Boston

SS: Reid

CB: Jackson, Alexander

Could get behind some of it, especially the draft.  Though would want another Guard & Center whether FA or draft.

Some easy other cuts as well, especially based on this scenario...

  • Gano - 1.26 million
  • THE Mike Davis - 3 million
  • Even Manhertz could save 6-7 hundred thousand.  Rather give his spot to Hemmingway at this point.

Gets another 5 million in savings, could bring back GVR as depth or sign Tre with that.

Hope so. Brown is my pick over any player not named Burrow and he’s not gonna be there.

In an ideal world, Cam comes back 100% healthy (have my doubts but fingers crossed) and we get Brown who helps turn around our defensive front almost immediately. I really think this dude is gone by the time we pick. He’s the real fugging deal

Need WR'S...

WR is Waaay down the list of needs right now.

The Patriots have success with no body WRs.  So the top 3 we have is plenty for Mcdaniels.  Then fill the others behind with lower FA's

Plus 2 TE sets helps it as well

That's your opinion.. I think we are a DJ Moore injury away from watching the Saints game over and over again.. I like your laser focus on the lines .. But with a new offensive philosophy and focus we need more weapons.. If Olsen gone we need Another TE and another WR.. To compete better in the division we are in...
