McDaniels: It’s between Cleveland and Carolina

I really don't want McDaniels. His first move when he was hired in Denver was getting rid of Jay Cutler who was coming off a Pro Bowl year. Does that sound like someone that would want to keep Cam when Cam hasn't been to the Pro Bowl in 5 years? He was also despised by his players, does that sound like someone we want to follow Ron Rivera?

The problem is that the "Pats guys" are not working out at an alarming rate.  What I don't like about the Pats model is how disloyal and non-player friendly they are.  I feel like the Eagles have a better model for today's NFL, for most teams who can't just flash 2 handfuls of rings in your face and tell you to shut the hell up and trust the process.

Interesting, because I pictured it the exact opposite.  The coach is going to be hired first, then will help find his own GM.  That's a ton of power right there.  Then with what went down with Dorsey, I'm going to assume part of the disconnect between him and the organization was the team taking power away from the GM and giving it to the next HC.  Am I missing some key information?

The reason given by journalists is that it's not "coach centered" like the Patriots system is. The GM and other officials report directly to the owner and the coach reports to the GM.

That, plus it's believed that the guy running the head coaching search favors Kevin Stefanski. He wanted Stefanski last year but was overruled. Now the guy he lost out to has been fired and the coaching search has been put in his hands.

That sounds like how they WERE doing things.  What they've announced recently sounds very coach-centric.

I'm not sure how to edit my post so I will double post.  I wasn't aware of the Stefanski angle, thanks for the info.

I admit ,I don’t know enough about Bieniemy at this point .. but from the pressers I have watched and articles I have read he just seems a bit old school and more of a Rivera type of coach  .. not a bad thing or a knock.. but maybe not what Tepper is really looking for . I think it’s McDaniels or bust

Hack reporters are a waste of sperm.

”Hey, if you are offered the job in Carolina or Cleveland which one would you take?”

”under the right circumstances either”

“great so it’s Cleveland or Carolina.”

”that’s what you asked me dickhead”

making poo up to get clickbait
