hardly related but here is walter football on our second round pick:

Carolina Panthers: Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia Georgia_logo.gif
New Panthers owner Bobby Axelrod has said that he wants to trade Cam Newton. If that happens, he'll obviously need a new quarterback because Kyle Allen is just a high-end backup.

Jake Fromm was tremendous as a freshman for SEC champion Georgia. He struggled a bit in 2019, so he's down to second-round consideration.

Did Axelrod actually say that?

Agreed. I was mildly interested in Jackson until I watched what Epenesa did to him. He looked like a typical Panthers' LT.

Jackson reminds me of Kalil coming out of USC.  Know most have him the 4th OT in the class.

Late 1st round guy.

I think Wirfs is the best T, Thomas is probably the best LT.  Either at LT is a probable upgrade.

Do any of you think Little can play G?  If so, this could be a "two fer" pick--upgrade 2 spots with one pick.

Like Okudah--he makes our #1 CB better and shifting Bradberry to #2 makes that spot better--and (maybe) moving Jackson to Nickel upgrades us at 3 spots.....

We can do that at WR too.

However if Little can play G well enough to move Van Roten or even Turner, we get the "double bonus"

I read this article a year ago and thought Little might make a better OG than T.  It basically says, "He has the upside to be a T, but he has the raw ability to be a good G if OT does not work out?" (Fansided)

This supports 2 options: 1. We have not developed Little (last year, Matsko sucked--Paradis, Turner, Moton---they all digressed) and he is still raw in the areas mentioned in the article---do we need a LT if we have one on the roster?  (Please don't start with the "Little sucks--I have seen enough" comments---that is what a raw player looks like when forced into action without the development and coaching--just stop it).  2. If Little is not a T, he surely is a G and would be an upgrade.

The pre-draft Article:

Ole Miss’s Greg Little is a highly experienced and effective 2019 NFL Draft left tackle prospect.

Greg Little is a well built offensive tackle prospect who should hear his name called in the earlier parts of the 2019 NFL Draft. Little features ideal measurables for the position including long arms and solid bulk. However, he has some flaws in his game that could force him to move inside.

Little’s strength is as a run blocker where he generates a good push off the line. He routinely fires off the ball and looks to engage the defender. His long arms help him gain inside hands while his upper body strength allow him to press.

The space he creates with his arm length allows Little to gain movement. It also helps him seal the defender from the play. His effectiveness as a run blocker is also aided by his use of angles and understanding of the playbook.

He has enough athleticism and balance to work at the 2nd level where he delivers key blocks. His skills as a run blocker opens the door for a move inside to guard if needed.

In pass protection, Little works with a wide base and his hands out in front. He is an aggressive pass blocker who looks to initiate the contact. His toughness and strength helps him anchor after contact. He is a fighter who looks to limit movement.

Little flashes solid movement skills, but can get heavy footed at times. He can struggle with sudden pass rushers who have good lateral quickness.

There are also occasions where Little will give up the edge to quicker defenders. Ole Miss did a good job running an offense that got the ball out quickly. This helped protect the offensive line by not asking them to hold their blocks for too long.

Little has the upside to be a starting left tackle at the next level. However, he needs to work on his foot speed and ability to handle lateral quickness.

It’s important to note that Little would project as a very strong guard prospect if evaluators feel he can’t handle the left tackle spot.

It wasn't just the LT that contributed to that. We need a center who can command that line ina similar way Khalil did. Honestly it would be a waste to draft another LT when we do have a talented guy on the roster. Yes, he didnt play much, but Greg Little has talent. Give him a shot before drafting another LT.

How u know he has talent have u watched him play? Hes awful. A hurney kind of awful
