Actually yes, he was a pretty terrible coach

Lol I swear y’all just be saying stuff.

Bucs have never had the kind of consistent success as they did under him in the late 90s and early 00s, and he’s largely credited with constructing the 2002 team that won the title.  And the Colts were not good until Dungy got there.

Terrible coach... what a terrible take.  It’s like according to this site, if you aren’t one of the few consistent elite coaches (Belichick/Carroll), then you are bad.  Makes no sense

I caught up on a lot of podcasts today from Albert Breer, Michael Lombardi, Ben Albright and some others. My gut feeling is Josh McDaniels is Plan A and Eric Bieniemy is Plan B just from what the different guys were saying.

Ben Albright bashed Cam relentlessly before and after the draft. Nawrocki was his draft guru. Then tried to downplay everything Cam was doing when he was in his first couple seasons. I wouldn’t  believe him if he said water was wet.

The uncertainty is tough. It’s hard to know who is going to be good and who isn’t. I mean, most would have hated the Carroll signing. “...But he’s been fired from TWO nfl teams. No retread trash!”

I really hope we get McDaniels if the alternative is Bieniemy

Risky?  Yes, but there’s a ton of upside if he’s learned how to truly be a leader of a team.

Do people really see Bieniemy working out?  He seems like another guy in a long line of offensive assistants to great offensive minded head coaches, and off that they get a HC job.  McDaniels may be under Belichick but by all accounts he controls the offensive game plans, which Bieniemy doesn’t.  I’d just feel way more comfortable long term with McDaniels

I do like EB but I saw a lengthy interview and he said “at the end of the day” like a million times.  Bugged me a little.  lol.

Gruden took the same exact Bucs roster that Dungy went 9-7 with and lost in the wildcard round, and went 12-4 with a Superbowl win.  Followed this up by underperforming in Indy with Manning.

But yeah, put him in the Hall of Fame because he coached the greatest QB of all time and now appears on your television quite often

He's not that different than McCarthy who managed to snag 1 SB win with Aaron Rodgers.

SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reports multiple league sources "cast doubt" that Patriots OC Josh McDaniels is interested in the Giants' head-coaching job.

McDaniels has yet to interview with the Giants but is scheduled to next week. There are rumblings he doesn't want to leave New England and "might not want to coach in the New York market." Even if he did, McDaniels would likely want to hire his own GM or have final say on the roster, neither of which the Giants can offer with Dave Gettleman in place. It's becoming clear that McDaniels to New York is a long shot.

I love Tony Dungy. Played catch with him at training camp with Steelers.

But I can’t disagree with any of that.
