The only plus in hiring Josh McDaniels is that he's extremely arrogant and will help us move towards a true reset.

And I read that he will be bringing some of the Patriots coaches along with him to be apart of his staff. This makes things interesting.

Is that subscription worth the price?

I just recently subscribed. Most of the writers seem to have the freedom to go a bit more long form with their articles. They also aren't limited by being mouthpieces for the teams they cover. They don't have to toe a company line.

I really enjoy the hockey writer for the Hurricanes.

Here is a little history from Chris Simms who played for McDaniels in Denver:

"

“Josh got an unfair shake in Denver, and I don’t think that’s what people really realize,’’ Simms said. “The things that need to be talked about in Denver, does he deserve some blame? Sure. I’m sure he thinks back and goes, ‘Man, I wish I didn’t trade Jay Cutler away.’ I don’t think the things people realize is the Broncos were going broke, I don’t think he was allowed to get the free agents he was promised before he got there. With the New England system and what they do, it being more complicated than most systems, it takes more than one year to get those kinds of guys in there.

“He would recognize he made a mistake in having a first-time GM [Brian Xanders] as well. Josh had to venture over to that side of it, instead of just coaching the team. The first-time GM was trying to get his feet underneath him and figure out what Josh wanted, that added to more pressure and more scrutiny on Josh, because it took him away from the coaching during the season, and there he was trying to help out in personnel as well.”

I think Chris is sugar coating what happened in Denver, if you go by other players anecdotes about what happened.  Remember, they came firing out the gates at 6-0.  Some of the players from that team said that was the worst thing to happen to Josh, because sometime shortly after he beat New England to go 5-0 he was completely "gone" in terms of listening to the players, and lost the team.  I understand the need to get guys in place for his schemes, but at the same time he contributed more to the demise of the Broncos than Simms seems to want to say here.

Agreed. Also I'm skeptical without actual evidence of the notion the Broncos were going broke. Really? One of the NFL's most respected, long running franchises with a loyal die hard fan base was going broke at the time? Do you also have some real estate in Florida you'd like to sell me Chris? Why yes, I am a brain dead lemur on crack and would love to buy your software package for just $299.99

You better show me a whole lot of hard numbers if you want to sell me on that notion, otherwise sorry, just not buying.
