Cam Newton's Vegan Diet: Should he stay if he remains a vegan?

He just needs to go back to a pescatarian diet. He can still get all the benefits of the uber amount of veggies he wants while also getting the nutrient-rich animal protein he needs. It's worked wonders for him in the past and would not be a huge adjustment for him to go back.

I can speak from personal experience. In January 2019, I was diagnosed with life-threatening diseases. In research, I found the best option to heal was to go vegan. I lost every bit of muscle I had and my hair fell out. I started eating meats again and quickly got muscles and my hair grew back.

Yes but did you survive?

You have been miss-lead. Nothing is wrong with piece of lean meat. Greek and Spartans didnt have the choice. Ask ANY strength coach about this, they know more than goggle-fu experts. Being Vegan is fine all you do is sit on your ass all day.

Some of the most accomplished athletes in some of the most rigorous sporting events are vegans. There’s plenty of veggies with much more protein than meat. The only true knock you can give is b12 shortages but that’s an easy fix as well.

Glad you are doing better

I'm on this Low fodmap thing per my dietician and think the vegan thing is kinda silly but will respect people that commit to it.  I have however found it interesting how I rather unintentionally fazed red meat out of my diet as I've gotten older but I'll be damned if I don't love a wagyu porterhouse pittsburgh rare once in a blue moon. I just don't crave red meat as much anymore.

Personally though, it's all about moderation and limiting toxin intake.

Well we all know Tepper likes steak. Does Tepper care if Cam is a vegan? Probably not. I honestly don’t think him being vegan has caused his injury problems, I think the lack of a competent medical staff and having a HC not willing to tell Cam to sit was the problem.

They are mostly herbivores. Plant based animals have longer lives. All protein is produced by plants period. Animals do not produce protein

They are omnivores. They just don’t snack on meat. They eat it when they feel like it. Usually small animals and bugs sometimes larger. Just because they predominantly eat fruit doesn’t mean they won’t eat other things.

Saying animals don’t produce protein is just blatantly shortsighted, unfortunately. What is muscles made of up? The building block is amino acids. That is used by animals to produce protein. Also the bacteria that live’s in animals guts(especially herbivore grazers)  have the ability to break down weak animo acid proteins(plants) and synthesis more by binding nitrogen. If a human tried to eat a grazers diet they would die, we don’t have the bacteria to compensate.

So yes, animals produce protein. Any vegan that tells you otherwise you should educate.
