F game changers. That’s just propaganda. Watch Fuel by Munchies/Vice. I posted the link above, it goes through every diet from sumo to rock climbing and everything in between.

The "Meat" Episode of Explained on Netflix was good too

i just don't think cam is very science oriented.    i'm trying not to poke too much fun at him for his decisions with his shoulder before he realized magnets and crystals don't take the place of surgery

Eat da red meat MF!

thats your testosterone and creatine.

Tried eating what others claim and make acceptable.

that got me fat,..

I went back to 3 shakes a day with great whey, frozen berries and a little yogurt, super food scoop and some coconut oil.  2 small solid meals for lunch and dinner, 2 handfuls veggies, one serving salmon and the other either bloody steak or something with Avocado.

i dropped 10% body fat so far but only 12 lbs lighter so I’m gaining muscle back. My joints feel great including the back after 4 surgeries. And the boners are making the wife smile,.. which is all that really matters.

so there’s my science.

there's no such thing as superfood, its a marketing term.  but i totally get what you're saying and hurray boner

There’s actually the original brand by biotest that is called Superfood.  It’s the best.

right, its a brand name, not a scientific term.      nutrient dense food is a real thing though.

Proteins are comprised of amino acids of which the body can product from some foods for maintenance and repair of tissue except for 8 amino acids which must be obtained in liberal amounts in the diet know as the essential amino acids. All food from an animal source can provide those 8 essentials in various degrees or biologically active profiles of which eggs have one of the highest bio profiles for the body. Red meat has many other nutrients such as B complex vitamins not easily obtained in the amounts needed for efficient protein synthesis in the body from plant foods alone but it can be done ..........if and here is the big if............if you are a lean muscle mass athlete with a body weight under 200 lbs but  once lean muscle mass bodies are above 200lbs the amount of planet based foods in sheer volume to eat makes it difficult to obtain both the essential amino acids and the key B complex nutrients to help synthesize them.

Because plant based whole foods are very high in fiber and most are low in calories they can give you a full feeling at a much lower caloric consumption than more dense animal proteins......that alone can make eating enough fuel and repair for the body difficult.

So for a big man in shape over 200 lbs it is a real challenge to obtain all the amino acids needed for repair and growth of body tissue (with lean muscle being a major tissue priority) from a pure plant based diet in both the frequency and volume they would need to eat daily.

It would be best to maintain complex carbohydrates from whole plant sources, grains, beans etc for peak fiber and nutrients (other than some of the B complex vits) but add chicken, yogurt, fish, eggs etc for meeting protein and B complex requirements and you can still cut out red meat and be okay.  Plus you get healthy fats needed for the transport of hormones by the body for building muscle tissue (although this can be helped with consumption of nuts/seeds some as well).

But you really have to combine plant sourced foods in the right amount and in the volume needed to make up for any lack of animal source protein if you have a lean muscle body weight over 200 lbs.......and that's a challenge for athletes like Cam.

Protein supplements whether animal or planet based are very ineffective in their metabolism within the body because the lack key phytonutrients which all whole foods contain. Phytonutrients are the foundation of metabolism in the body which can only be found in whole foods because there are up to 100,000 of them naturally occurring in foods that we've only be able to identify a few thousand of them in the lab.........so attempting to add phytonutrients to supplemental protein is impossible and without those the cell metabolism of all proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals is compromised to the point of failing health in the body without a good source of whole foods in the diet.

Okay back to Cam here.............he would be best to add some fish, chicken or eggs into his diet to make sure he can recover adequately and maintain the muscle mass needed for his frame size.

One other thing here.........I noticed that Cam is really cut up these days...............which is great if you are bodybuilding but too low an overall body fat will also lower visceral organ fat inside the body which a football player needs to have to protect them from injury. Cam looks to be under 8% body fat......maybe lower..........great for speed but dangerous to take hits with. Visceral organ fat acts like padding to protect the body from injury and for that reason a football player is best served by hold body fat in the 15 to 20% area to make sure the internal organs are protected.
