Of the 4 candidates, I think only Eric Bieniemy will manage to command the respect Rivera had in the locker room

Are you thinking of someone else? Because he's only been an offensive coordinator, never a head coach or d-coordinator, so you can't really fault KC's defense on him can you? It would be like blaming Norv Turner for Donte Jackson.

I am talking about Rivera.  The whole narrative that he commanded respect is overblown.  Players liked him - but I question how  much authority he really held.  There was no fear of failure or accountability with Rivera.

McDaniels was the guy who commanded the least respect from his players. Not because he was young but because he’s a toolbag. Adam Gase has had the same problem.

McCarthy has had his redemption press tour but I do think he’s a legit possibility. Bienemy is intriguing but I won’t pretend I know the capacity at which he’s been involved in shaping what we see in Kc today. I’ll be excited though.

Rhule ain’t happening.

Still like the idea of David Shaw.

Other than the quote that they were doing homework on him, I haven't seen anything about Shaw.

Bieniemy and Shaw are my top 2. I have McCarthy over McDaniels. I really think McDaniels will be an awful hire. Hope I’m wrong because it seems like he’s our top target.

Yep this, I think we really only had 2 maybe 3 possibilities right now. I don't think there is anybody else after we interview McDaniels.
