Of the 4 candidates, I think only Eric Bieniemy will manage to command the respect Rivera had in the locker room

My main concern with Bieniemy is if he's learned the same lesson former player Dan Campbell did.

Said Campbell: “One of the hardest things for ex-players who are coaches is for them to really drive their players. They’ve been in their shoes. They know how hard it is and how bad some of this stuff sucks and the grind of it. And they somewhat feel sorry or empathy for those players they’re coaching. That’s the worst thing that you can do. It really is. I think that gets a lot of coaches who are not hard enough on them. I didn’t hold them accountable all the time like I should have. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to. It’s kind of like when you’re in that position, you’re trying to keep some life in this team and you’ve got to be careful, because if you go full bore the other way you’re not gonna get anything out of them. They’d already lost a coach and you’re already in dire straits. So you’ve gotta try to keep upbeat and positive. But if I had it my way and I was going in fresh, I’d have been a little bit harder. Just call things out for what they were more than I did."

If we hire McDaniels we're going to suck hard for several years until he gets his own players in. "The Patriots Way" never works in other places because it's never really given time to be installed correctly. The same players mutiny would happen here that did in Detroit and Miami.

Miami? Since November 1st, the Miami Dolphins have more wins than the New England Patriots.

Just read McDaniels has his staff lined up ready to depart. Wants to go to Carolina or Cleveland. Depending on which one will give him what he wants. I think its crazy how we talked about wanting him last year and staying with Rivera. I think he is going to be the new coach when it's said and done.

Yeah after they shipped off all of the guys who were angry about how Flores was running things.

Who cares if they are winning. If that's what it takes here I'm for it. I mean damn he is the coach, I want the team to listen to him and if they don't like it hit the door.
