We're talking about sure thing first rounders a year after Quinnen Williams was supposed to be the safest pick in the draft and did nothing, lol

Might be a good idea to stock up on draft capital to improve your odds but go off i guess

Pats did this for years

If you are looking at C, LT, WR, or QB draft round doesn't really matter if you are convinced they are a starter. We drafted Ryan Kalil knowing that we had another Center who could play. This year the only question not on that line is Turner. Any player that would upgrade that situation you don't hesitate. Now given the choice of a starting LT or C well the choice is clear. But that doesn't happen much.

If you want a starter at QB you usually have to find them early, the guys outside of that are the exceptions to the rules usually. Round absolutely matters that's why QBs get overdrafted so high every year, position scarcity.

Like i think the center talk is laughable but not really when our best one was an elite prospect and a second rounder, so it makes sense ppl think you always have to spend high draft picks on them when really you don't

Literally every other position we are hurting at requires higher draft picks than C usually, so mocking Tyler Badiaiznfhdjs to us at 7 is ridiculous. Second rounder at that spot would be fine, Eric McCoy is a stud for the Saints and is better than Garrett Bradberry who all the homers kept shoehorning to us in mocks last year

pretty sure nobody is advocating spending a 1st on him.  If he falls into the 2nd, should take a look at him.  The position is a disaster right now and could go a long way to fixing the interior of the line if we drafted him, signed a FA

I literally just quoted someone in the other thread that does

They also prioritize secondary players and value corners, but apparently suggesting we draft Okudah is dumb bc we have oThEr nEeDz

Realistically, if both OT's are gone, and Bradberry is wanting to break the bank, then Okudah is very logical

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't catch where anyone in this entire thread said to take a Center in the first round. As far as I know, we were all speaking of one in the 2nd round, and someone mentioned maybe losing Biadasz due to some other dumb team taking him high in the first, because we've seen it happen before where they grab one too early. But, I didn't read anyone's comments suggesting that we should do that ourselves at all.

Sounds

Very Very Very much like Josh Allen coming out and he's done alright.  If we get a good offensive minded coach with a QB background, he'll be fine

Josh Allen is wildly inaccurate and has a solid defense and roster around him

His success is no excuse to settle for a QB who might not be that good

Funny you mentioned that because the trend now is that QBs who have slipped or drafted day two have been more successful. Like I said I think it's basically who is good at drafting and who isn't. One reason I don't like Hurney. Winning round one and no other round isn't good drafting. Just like this year with three busts. That's a big ouch right there.
