  • Cameron Jerrell Newton won the MVP in 2015 with a supporting cast that consisted of Ted Ginn, Philly Brown, Jericho Cotchery, and rookie Devin Funchess as his WRs
  • He took a core of worse scrub WRs to the playoffs in 2017
  • Was having his best season ever before injuring his shoulder in 2018

I dont want us to forget how good this guy is. He's not just some scrub in a funny hat and glasses serving thanksgiving dinners. He's a National College Champion, Hiesmann winner, Rookie of the Year, MVP with 182 passing touchdowns and 58 rushing touchdowns.

All we need to fuging do is get this man an Oline and shore up the Dline to help him stay healthy, and get some coaches that make them play to 110% of their ability. #

There's a reason why his nickname is "Superman"

As i said in another thread if the guy can move around and scramble a little bit...hes still OUR franchise qb. He is over criticized for his errant throws that every qb has and his elite dime passes arent heralded enough. He is a far better passer then given credit for, pre 18 he had a lower completion % because the deep ball system he was asked to run along with drops. When he was given an outlet with Norv and had better weapons suddenly his % jumped into elite territory.

John Harbaugh has never called a play. We are looking for a head coach.

I didn't realize special teams coaches called plays. Offensive coordinators most of the time do unless the coach doesn't trust them. We are looking for head coaches not Andy Reid jock carriers.

I love Cam with any offensive minded coach however DJ Moore would be a number 2 receiver on half the teams in the league.

Your kidding me right? Your talking about the guy that just finished his 2nd year in the nfl in 9th place over 1k with KA throwing to him? While missing almost 2 games with a concussion, in wich for the prior 8 or so games he was #1 in yards in the league. Facts man come on. In fact his yds per game puts him in 4th right ahead of Kelce, if the lightbulb had come on in game 1 and not game 7 approximately he would have finished 1st.

Why must you call plays to be a good head coach? There are several head coaches from the offensive side in the Andy Reid tree. One has a SB ring. Reid himself was never an offensive coordinator and never called plays until he was head coach.

Reid calls the plays because that's what he does. To say it has to do with trust is just fabricating a story.

No defense we play has to game plan for Moore.

If Mike Evans was on this team would he be the #1? No.

How about Julio, Michael Thomas, OBJ, Hopkins, etc. Those are guys have you have to plan around.

Moore is only our number one because the rest of our receivers are garbage!!!!!!!

When Cam came into the league it reminded me of when Magic Johnson started playing for the Lakers.    They both transformed a sport that I had been watching my entire life into something more enjoyable because they both brought a special flare to the way the game was played.

Magic didn't end up as an all time statistical leader in multiple categories and neither will Cam but I would take either player over any other every day of the week and twice on Sundays because they made/make the game so fun to watch.

I hope Cam has some left in the tank.  It was very sad the way Magic ended his career and I'm not talking exclusively about the HIV.   He was playing injured at the end of his last season (Knee I think) and just wasn't the same player.

It's tough to watch Cam struggle to complete a 15 yard out after seeing him drop dimes from 60 yards away.

Because it shows that you can actually do it. Especially when your only other job has been running back coach and your success has been with a generational talent QB and HOF coach.

He actually draws double teams and mccaffery  , Olsen, and curtis are decent receiving threats. Going over 1k or being 4th in the league in yds per game cant be understated. His drop % was low as well. Imagine if he does this with KA what he will do with a qb like Cam? Will you still claim this if he puts up 1500? Remember this was his 2nd year when most wrs slump. DJ runs the X perfect as he runs the whole route tree, catching short and deep passes, overall reliable. Curtis does what he is supposed to as the y as well, taking the top off the d and if not for limp dick throws he would have had close to 1k and plenty of tds.

It would be nice to have any of those players but then you would have 2 guys playing capable of playing x and when contracts came up only br able to afford one....Bradberry actually does fine against all the wrs you mentioned, I bet he would actually have more problems with DJ because of the type of wr he is. Your going off alot of what the media feeds you anyway, DJ hasn't been in long enough nor will he garner the attention because he is a Panther, he is the best wr we've had since SS89. I prefer him to all but the physical freak Julio on your list, even if he was just top 10 in his 2nd year that's great but he was top 5. Every good D you play game plans for all your recieving threats especially the ones capable of stringing multiple 100 yard games together.

So you would rather have Moore than Hopkins, Thomas?

Well that's not gonna happen as Hopkins and Thomas are more proven, over thomas yes, hopkins no. But moore is 21 years old and I'm fine with him and will take his cheap contract over paying them. Thomas has amazing hands, that's what makes him elite, but his #s are inflated by almost 150 catches. His yds per reception was only 11. Something..not to say he isnt truly elite but Hopkins I would prefer.
