Buck the trend.  1 NFL contract wont secure you for life anymore.

Get healthy, Dominate with your Alabama squad, win Heisman, get the Tide 1 more natty, get drafted #1 and begin your pro journey.

Assuming you are talking first round picks, if one NFL contract doesn't set you up for life you're doing it wrong.  Completely wrong.

Why would we want to take Tua anyway? His is injury prone at Alabama with less arm strength, mobility, and expeirence than the QB we already have.

Suck in 2020 for Fields or Lawrence. Point. Blank. Period.

You can’t be serious?    Suck for a specific QB?

You expect this to be realistic?

Season ticket holders to shell out thousands of dollars to watch a tank?

pros and coaches who have performance incentive bonuses in the The hundred of thousands, to not try and hit them?

the NFl is littered with ‘can’t miss’ QBs who were stars in college who flame out in year two of the nfl

Must think he can get a better draft pick if hes not hurt.

Don't want him to be honest. Don't want to draft a QB until we've got an OL that can keep him from becoming an invalid.

If he returns, I have to conclude that he's been injury red flagged and his draft status will probably be seriously tanked. In that case, he may be better off returning and rolling the dice on staying healthy for a season.

You're right.  lol what was I thinking?  Never heard of a broke "millionaire athlete".  They would probably publish articles about it, you know?  Gosh I feel pretty silly.  Anywho's great seein' ya, toodles!

The Colts did it for Luck. There is precedence. There was widespread speculation that the Dolphins were doing it for Tua this year and then Tua got broken in half.

They didn't go broke by "doing it right". Buying a mega-mansion and your family McMansions and a fleet of high end vehicles with a jewelry collection that would make Mr. T blush isn't "doing it right". Stuff like that is why so many athletes and entertainers go broke. They live like they're going to be making that type of money for the rest of their lives instead of a relatively short window while cost of living will continue to increase long after their primary method of earning disappears.

Believe it dude.  There's at least 2 or 3 posters here that have come out and said as much.  Bigger Tigers fans than Panthers obviously.  Landing on the Panthers would mean they have a local hero to cheer for instead of the Texans, Bills and as of last draft...the Raiders.  Most Clemson fans don't really have favorite NFL teams, they just follow the teams of ex-Tigers standouts.

My entire point.  Thank you.

If he stays a year, he’s at best going to be 3rd after Lawrence and Fields. He could get taken 3rd this year anyways so I don’t really see much reason to stay.

I don't want him but I hope he comes out just because it'd help us. Our only realistic first round QB should be Justin Herbert.

I think people are gonna find something out tomorrow when they try to run the ball down Wisconsin's throat to avoid him throwing the ball despite Wisconsin having a better run D than pass D just like they did with Utah who has the #1 rush D in the nation vs. the #12 pass D. Wisconsin is #8 and #15, respectively.

I don't get the hype on Herbert at all having watched him play several games. Subpar stats against top defenses. #19 in the nation in passing yardage. #14 in passing efficiency. The BIG red flag for me is #62 in average yards per completion. The guy primarily just dinks and dunks and piles up stats against bad defenses.
