It's the Cowboys. They'll get money either way, but one job has more perks and fame and all coaches have an ego.

The majority of press coverage suggests the exact opposite...

...almoat every NFL expert thinks top coaches will avoid the Cowboys because they don't  want to have to suffer through JJ's weekly locker-room post-game press conferences...

The Cowboys as a franchise are "worth" a LOT but from a cash to burn ability perspective Tepper is a Major League MVP while J. Jones is a fugging minor league batboy.....Jones's bankroll is laughable compared to Big Tepp.

....DC is still a better job on paper.

"On paper" and in real life are completely different things...

...given Snyder's abysmal track record only a fool would believe, well, you finish the sentence...

Then he should turn down those other interview requests.

Till he does, I'm not buying it.

Matt Rhule was an assistant OL coach for the NY Giants in 2012.

Guess who was the Senior Pro Personnel Analyst for the Giants at that time?

Dang, this is NOT good news.  Tepper versus Jerry Jones....who wins a bidding battle for a HC they both want?

Jones could give up his net worth in salary and it wouldn't be close to a quarter of Teppers net worth. Yeah he's that rich and Dallas can't pay more if we wanted a guy.

Now a 3rd meeting?  I wonder if Jones is having second thoughts about casting off his do-boy?

I mean, it will be REALLY hard to find a patsy as big as Garrett has been.  Really, Jason probably would wipe Jones' @ss if Jerry asked him to.

Jerry actually runs the Dallas Jonesboys and everybody knows it.  In a way, firing Garrett is admitting his own failures.  I can see why he's so conflicted.

I’m assuming Jerry wanted to get rid of him. Had second thoughts offered him a 1 year superb owl or bust contract. Garrett said maybe. Jerry said you have to rebuild your entire staff. Garrett said maybe I can get a longer term deal somewhere else. Jerry said come on.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:

It's been speculated that they might keep jerking him around until his contract expires on the 14th.

That'd be a dick move but not surprising given who runs the team.

Yes, that sounds like a dick move, but how do the Cowboys/Jones benefit?  Jones is calculating, but an outright sadistic SOB?  Come on....

The only reason I can think of is because a division rival, Giants, has coaching vacancies?

That's the rationale.
