But everyone said Cam was going to Chicago

The national media wants the Panthers to be irrelevant. In light of that the franchise has overachieved.

they don't want us to be, we are.   cam is/was relevant, not the panthers.   dallas and new york are relevant.  its all about market share and our locale doesn't have it.   who cares if we're relevant to the national media?    nobody cares if the titans are good.  nobody will care if we're good, but us.

Anytime I see "league source" I just substitute the words "someone's agent".

Yeah, to be fair, that’s how a lot of reporting gets pushed out there. Let me just be really clear: I never believed any of that Chicago crap. But a lot of fans were worried about it. Folks need to be careful who they trust/read/consume. A lot of bad information out there.

You saw Aaron Rodgers and Russel Wilson get the exact same call to get them the lead in both games. Both were very questionable calls at the expense of #93 whos record is blemished.

With relevance comes great favor it would seem so David Teppers job is a political one.

Tepper has made an utter hash of this organizational re-org.  Damn well should have started immediately on Black Monday of the 2018 season.

Now that's he's waited he's herpin' and derpin' through this entire coaching search on top of the fact that he trusts "one of the best evaluators of college talent" (*wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*) to run his next draft.

Idiocy.

Do you believe the organization would be better off with you at the helm instead of Mr. David Tepper?

And who the new HC is.  If it's a guy that runs an offense that is timing based and relies on accuracy where the QB stays in the pocket, then we likely move on from even a healthy Cam.  However, if it's a guy that can innovate and knows how to utilize a weapon like Cam, then he likely stays, if healthy.

One point I will make that I see a lot.  I am not sure Cam will be unwilling to play out his final year here.  I'm sure he'd prefer an extension, but he likely understands that wherever he goes, he's probably going to have a prove-it year.  Even if we traded him and he signs an extension with his new team, that contract would likely have an out for the team if his health doesn't hold up.  Nobody knows what his health is going to be, especially how it will hold up over the course of the season.  So, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he plays out the year knowing that he could maximize his value by showing that he can stay healthy.  After all, a healthy Cam will bring a MUCH higher price tag than one with serious questions about his long-term health.

I agree on the part of Cam playing out his final year of his contract but I think it is regardless of wich head coach comes in. You wont find a better passer in FA, a rookie pick, or any other route of acquiring a qb. I really think through Twitter @ellis has proven Cam to be a far better passer in the pocket then almost anyone gives him credit for. I feel like every time he throws a bad ball he is over scrutinized but not given credit for the absolute elite throws and reads he makes, all QBs miss throws. Cam career pass percentage isnt overly low considering the deep ball offense hes been asked to run and when he was asked to run one that utilized shorter routes and check downs (1q 2018) he had an excellent completion %. Would love to see Scott Turner calling plays for Cam to CMC, DJ, and Curtis....and somehow Olsen takes a pay cut to come back lol.

it was a fantasy...

Anyones opinion about Cam right now is just that..a opinion/fantasy, only Cam and Tepper have any clue and in the end Tepper has pretty much said a healthy Cam is our Qb. If he can scramble letting go of Cam is illogical.

i don't buy it.  i watch a lot of sports shows in the morning.  all they've talked about today is g'man saying software and the cowboys.   there is nothing we can do to become relevant besides winning multiple superbowls in a 2-3 year window, and they'd still talk about the cowboys more than us.  the cowboys get 70-80% of the talk every day
