But everyone said Cam was going to Chicago

Who's everyone?  I've only seen two people suggest that.  That's not everyone.

Posters tend to exaggerate.  5 people posting that Cam will be gone = the board and fanbase hate Cam and want him gone.

Whether he stays or goes largely depends on our assessment of his health.  That hasn't changed.

And who the new HC is.  If it's a guy that runs an offense that is timing based and relies on accuracy where the QB stays in the pocket, then we likely move on from even a healthy Cam.  However, if it's a guy that can innovate and knows how to utilize a weapon like Cam, then he likely stays, if healthy.

One point I will make that I see a lot.  I am not sure Cam will be unwilling to play out his final year here.  I'm sure he'd prefer an extension, but he likely understands that wherever he goes, he's probably going to have a prove-it year.  Even if we traded him and he signs an extension with his new team, that contract would likely have an out for the team if his health doesn't hold up.  Nobody knows what his health is going to be, especially how it will hold up over the course of the season.  So, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he plays out the year knowing that he could maximize his value by showing that he can stay healthy.  After all, a healthy Cam will bring a MUCH higher price tag than one with serious questions about his long-term health.

A good coach will adjust his system to the abilities of the offense that he has.  If the coach can't do that, then we probably shouldn't hire him.

To a point, but most coaches have a fundamental philosophy that they will not deviate too far from.  They may adjust what they do, but most aren't going to complete overhaul it.

But more to the point in this case, Cam is 30 years old, and coming off some significant injuries.  And he has a very specific style he plays with.  It doesn't fit all offenses, and not every coach wants to run that kind of offense.  So I can easily see why a new coach may want to bring someone in that better fits what they want to do and whom they have more confidence in their long-term health.

Mc52:  But it helps my hazardously low self-esteem if I feel right and make others feel wrong.  Gosh.

When there is change afoot, people speculate--there is probably no better place to do that than on a discussion board.  Only a yet-to-be-weaned twit would keep score and weaponize everyone's conjecture.

    • Watching Rams/Eagles. Celebrating the St Louis Rams team that won the SB (Warner, Holt, etc..) while playing in Los Angeles seems wrong.  If I were in Los Angeles, no way I would attend a Rams game.  Probably wouldn't attend a Chargers game either.  Becoming a fan of a team that likes to move around just seems like a waste of energy as a fan.
    • The only responses I am getting after providing statistics to put opinions in perspective seem to be from people who get angry and attack stats and people whose opinions differ from their own.  Have people on the Huddle ever overreacted, exaggerated, been wrong about players before?  Sure they have, so an alternative opinion with statistical support should not cause you to attack me or my views.  I am sorry your public schools failed you.  But your reactions are very revealing--you are stuck in Piaget's concrete operational stage--learn logic, how to debate a topic, and learn the difference between facts and emotional opinions.  When I paralleled Cam's stats with Jones' to point out how remarkably similar their careers have been to this point, It blew some 40 watt minds.  I think Jones, in a better situation, could be good--that should not upset you--
    • penalties and poor hands is what cost us in the RZ Bryce missing "high" in the back of the end zone is not an issue, you're taught as a QB to throw high in the back of end zone were only the receiver can catch or no one The duo of Ian Thomas and Tommy tremble can both go at the end of the season, both been here for multiple seasons and they've barely developed
