The Athletic reports that Marty Hurney will stay on as GM, and is negotiating contracts for Bradberry and Boston

This is mega disheartening.  I don't even know what to say anymore.  Boston is not worth anything more than 1 year contracts through the remainder of his career.  Would be absurd to have both him and Reid on the books.  They were awful. 

And if Bradberry is getting 13 mil+, we'll have so much unnecessary money tied up in the secondary when it needs to be properly allocated throughout the team.  We'll have nothing to put into the lines on either side with the contracts at LB and the Secondary.

There is a lot more evidence that supports Hurney being a bad GM than a good one.

Unless I missed it, does Hurney signing Boston not seem a bit ironic?  He's having to ink a JAG to replace his bust 3rd rounder.  You couldn't make this crap up!

He is bad at building teams, he is bad at contracts and he is bad at drafting outside of the 1st but he isn't a bad GM? That is a load of crap. What he is good at has noting to do with football but an owner's balls.

Marty is the Amini of NFL GMs. Somehow he gets entrenched with the Panthers and even when we make the decision to move on from him and no one else will touch him with a ten foot pole somehow he ends up back here in the same capacity once again anyway.

Tre Boston had a very under the radar, great season, for a terrible defense.  He might have been our 2nd or 3rd best player on defense this year.

And I'm sure Tepper is Richardson's progressive plant. Keeping Hurney dispite his machinations leading this team to straight up NFL purgatory.

 

Oh and the statue thing is still really fuging weird. Is that claused in or something in the bill of sale or whatever? fug this team.
