I would consider a two to three year deal at marginal starter/good backup money. That's what Boston is IMO.

I'm pretty sure that I don't want Boston on the roster, at any cost. Sounds like he is part of the culture issue and I would rather the Panthers distance themselves from anyone that was part of it. Character matters.

He sees himself as a superstar safety.  That is why he has signed at the last moment for 3-4 years running.  He prices himself out of the market.  Everything about his statement in OP screams it will go down the same way in 2020.

This is a great point and was a BIG reason that he was signed so late and why he got cut from us randomly out of nowhere. I would go 1 year deal for cheap or let him walk

I agree. There seems to be a major gap between what he thinks he's worth and what NFL teams think he's worth. I fully expect him to test the market and then sign a marginal short term deal late into the process... again. That's been the story of Tre Boston's free agency every time it's come up. I just hope and pray that Marty doesn't Marty.

Gotta imagine they're thinking Redskins...

Yeah, a place they can go and suck and keep their jobs. Sorry, but I am not losing sleep about losing anyone from our horrid defense. I would like to keep Luke, but would be willing to let him go for the right compensation (draft picks).

I look at this list and honestly would not lose sleep if NONE of them are back.  Seriously

What I would like to know is was the 34 change dictated from Tepper.  We will probably never know, but if an owner is telling coach what scheme to run, it would be a reason for players wanting to leave in mass.  Most of the time it is a 2 or 3 year process to switch defensive schemes.

Many of the players had a lot of respect for Ron, and if they feel he was given the short end of the stick I could see many of them ready to move on.
