Every year we think so and so will go at a certain point and most of the time we're wrong. We'll see, but I'm predicting he falls a bit.

Like I say every year. Panthers fans think that 33 players will always go before the Panthers’ 1st round pick.

The great thing about drafting Wirfs (if Thomas and Brown are gone) is that he has shown the capability to play just about any position on the OL (except center) at a high level.

So you have a guy to plug in wherever you need him.  And, other than Thomas, he's the best OL in the draft (and from Iowa who have a track record of sending quality OL to the League).

I did not know that---had him as a RT--figured we'd have to move Moton to LG---Wirfs could be a better LT than Little.  If Little can play inside, all we need is Creed and the seeds are planted.

Give me an Iowa or Wisconsin lineman any day.

Samuel is done unless he can make an amazing transformation during the offseason. And that’s highly unlikely. Norv and Scott tried their best. It’s to the point where they just have to run options just in order for him to get the ball in his hands.

You're know it all negativity is annoying as fug

You guys act like this every off season. Panthers fans think that teams only have the draft to fix the roster. There also is this thing called “free agency”.

Hey genius, name one OT worth a poo that's been available via free agency.... there's a fuging reason.

Would love Jeudy on the Panther's squad.

But, in the real world, what this team really needs is one of the following three players:

Thats my wishlist too but Hurney will fug it up somehow. I think that Brown and especially Thomas are gone by 7. If all three of these guys are gone then I would go for Okudah because our secondary still sucks. Just say no to CeeDee Lamb or any WR for that matter.

That's why you draft talented OTs,

They can move inside ...rarely can a college OG go to NFL and move outside...

I am a new Clemson fan now that my son goes there, but I don't want Simmons. He had a great INT this weekend against Fields where he was lined up deep at safety and did what a good coverage safety would do to cut in front of the WR/CB. I could see him at safety, but we should NOT be considering a safety at 7. No way.

Agreed.

Would LOVE to have a monster safety, but we have greater needs on the OL and DL.

The latest (rare) example of that is Braden Smith who plays RT for the Colts (picked in the 2nd round).

But here's the thing... though he played about 90% of the time at RG at Auburn, he *did* play (and play well) at times at RT.  So he had some tackle experience.  But he was drafted by the Colts expecting him to be an OG (as he played at Auburn his junior and senior years) and was only moved to RT when they had injury problems and, voila, he won the job and has been a starter in that position ever since.
