Couple of quotes from Patriots reporter Ben Volin about Nick Caserio (link)

Hadn't thought of that

Also this regarding McDaniels...

Mr. Scott, when was this article released? That is the main reason I think I want Josh is because of Ziegler and Caserio. Also did you hear Rivera is taking our negotiating GM Rob Rodgers?

If Caserio and Ziegler are most interested in Houston and Carolina, I got to think Carolina is the favorite for McDaniels makes too much sense. Im assuming McDaniels is down to us and Cleveland. Him and Caserio/Ziegler can't want Cleveland over us can they?

It shall be

Browns - McDaniels

Panthers - Stefanski

Giants - McCarthy

Cowboys - Riley

Nah.

McDaniels To Carolina and McCarthy to dallas are pretty solid right now.

I could see cleveland hiring a current coordinator like Saleh or Roman.

Giants will probably hire Rhule or Stefanski.

Cant see the giants hiring stefanski. The move of firing the ex vikings OC to hire the current vikings OC just prolly would be met with backlash. It seems to me that they are set on rhule... oh gettleman.

"He (Rhule) is scheduled to meet with Carolina Panthers officials on Monday, and they not only appear to have a better current talent base, but they also could be willing to offer Rhule more power -- including a chance to hand pick their future general manager. "

Fits in the thinking Hurney would be gone after the draft.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
