The leader, from outside at least, is McCarthy.  That's why if McDaniels is the prime target,  we need a couple of fall back candidates in case McCarthy in fact accepts the Browns job and a McDaniels deal isn't worked out.

Might be Stefanski now since they're giving the search to Paul DePodesta.

Giants prime target is speculated to be Matt Rhule. It's generally believed that's the job he wants too (unless the Cowboys job opens up).

McDaniels is the "it" guy this year.  If Dallas jettisons Garrett, I would expect them to want an interview with him as well.

Seems like there are 4-5 hot coaches out there with 4-5 openings.  Will be interesting to see who goes where.

McDaniels would definitely not go there since Jones has all the power even over the coach

If this McCarthy and assistant GM thing is true for the Browns then I believe we definitely end up with McDaniels

The Browns have put DePodesta in charge of the head coach search, and he was banging the table for Stefanski last year, only to get overruled by Dorsey

Very hard to see how Stefanski won't be their choice again this year now that Dorsey is gone.  I strongly believe he's Tepper's choice as well, so we'e going to be in competition with the Browns for him.  In addition, Charles Robinson and Mike Lombardi both report that Vikings ownership is so afraid of losing Stefanski, they might fire Zimmer to promote him to head coach.

This forum is really sleeping on what a great candidate Stefanski is, and how he's head and shoulders above the rest of this pack.

Looks like Lincoln Riley may be going to the NFL. 5 Star commit said he would only De-Commit if Riley left for the NFL and he just DE-Committed today. Joe Marino said don't rule out Carolina

Yup, Spurrier and Saban took a stab at NFL head coaching gigs, sucked at it,  only to back to college with much success again.  Kingsbury didn't exactly light it up this year either.
