i wouldn't mind eric the enemy just for his name.   would be even better if we swapped names with the vikings but kept our colors.    i could see our fan base doing some super cool costumes instead of looking like something from cats.  wonder if he makes it out of the building

Our "relatively young" age range right now is from 43 (McDaniels) to 56 (McCarthy). Stefanski hasn't been officially requested yet, but he's 37.

We've heard from LaCanfora that Stefanski will be added, but even with him we still have the smallest candidate pool of any team outside of the Redskins.

Man it's going to be McDaniels or McCarthy. Rhule ain't coming here for an interview. Unless I haven't seen it Fewell has yet to have an interview, and I think Bieniemy would qualify for Rooney Rule. I still don't think he is the one they want anyway. Surprised we didn't interview Roman or Wink though.

LaCanfora confirmed that Fewell had already been interviewed.

I think the only thing I am disappointed in, is that our list is so small. I would have liked to see a more thorough interview pool, but I have to assume that these names we hear are from a pared down list. The strange thing is, teams who just fired their head coaches, have the same list.

The bust rate for college coaches jumping to the NFL head coaching ranks is so high that I think Tepper is wisely steering away from them.  So yes, not having 1-3 college coaches interviewing will make the list seem  unusually small.

Sometimes small coaching searches are because you're really only interested in that one guy and the others are just fallback options.

The way people have been talking about McDaniels, if he's the guy that ultimately gets hired, I won't be surprised if that was the scenario.

Ditto if he takes another job and we suddenly decide we need to interview more people.

I don't doubt Micky D is top of the list, but Tepper is no fool, and realistically needs a plan B or even C.  McCarthy is likely plan B, but even that needs a contingency plan in case Mike accepts an offer before the Pats are eliminated.  Josh say yes is far from a given.  Look at the Colts debacle.
