I've heard several media outlets claim they did, but never saw anything really official

Everything we've heard is a media outlet claim. There has been nothing official on anybody. Though Fewell confirming it is pretty close.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns are considering pairing ex-Packers coach Mike McCarthy with assistant GM Eliot Wolf.

Ron Wolf's son, Eliot overlapped with McCarthy for 12 years in Green Bay. Wolf arrived in Cleveland in 2018. Understandably, the Browns are said to be prioritizing a unified coaching/front office front, but that has always been easier said than done under scatterbrained owner Jimmy Haslam.

Going to be McDaniels unless he chooses otherwise I think.  McCarthy is the backup plan.  Honestly, and sadly, feel like Bienemy is a hot name/Rooney Rule so he gets thrown in, and Rhule is the ultimate what if, that I don't see happening but would make us pause and rethink if so.

Hasn't been posted in a minute, but David Shaw to me remains the ultimate darkhorse out of nowhere hire. Honestly think he's got more of a shot than Bienemy or Rhule coming here.

Okay, I will ask in here. What makes McDaniels such a great option if he is the backup OC in New England?

Not a backup, but he seems to be a solid coach. OC for one of the most successful NFL teams in modern history. Learned from one of the best coaches in NFL history and coached possible the GOAT QB. His HCing career wasn't great, but he did start out 6-0 in his 1st season before finishing 8-8, but then had a horrible following season. But his QB was Kyle Orton and this was 10 years ago. I'm fairly positive he's learned quite a lot since then. I believe he's the favorite for the job and rightfully so.

Spoiler, it's going to be Stefanski

Meh. If Dallas decides to hire outside of their current coaches, I could see Stefanski going there. I originally thought Rhule to Dallas was a strong possibility since Dallas was the safest choice among all HC jobs available. Don't want to begin your first NFL HC gig by inheriting a mess. Cleveland is cursed, the Giants, like the Panthers, have too many holes to fill and an uncertainty at QB. Dallas, for the most part, isn't too bad. Nearly made the playoffs. But at the end of the day, I think Rhule stays at Baylor.

Though, to reiterate, Stefanski to Dallas is a possibility and a better option for him than us. Then Minnesota goes out and hires Garrett for their newly open OC position.

OC in NE is the backup to Brady. He is running that show right now. I see nothing to say he will be successful as a HC but there is evidence to the contrary. Not my call though. Hope you are wrong about him being the favorite.
