I seen that, don't see how it could be done next week if we can't interview two of those. Unless they mean they will have interviews setup. It's the NFL probably can get around any of it lol.

It could be done next week if the Patriots lose, we interview McDaniels and say "you're hired".

That's the first mention of him. Still no mention of Greg Roman.

Sounds like it's uncertain whether Matt Rhule will actually talk to us.

The thing with Roman is that all of his success has revolved around highly mobile QB's that were adept at improvising.  Sure, he put them in a position to utilize their talents, but there is likely some question about how Roman would do without that type of QB.  And even with the Panthers, we don't know if Cam is ever going to completely regain the level of mobility he once had.

So, while he has shown he knows how to scheme for a highly mobile QB, we don't really know if he would be able to scheme an offense where there either isn't a mobile QB, or that QB loses his mobility through injury.

That's fair.

If that is offered is our job still more attractive or not?

I feel fairly certain that between the head coaching power and the ability to choose the guy who is generally speculated to be the next GM, we can offer McDaniels pretty much anything that Browns can.

What he ultimately prefers? No way to know.

Gil Brandt tweeted don't be surprised if Browns offer Josh McDaniels a Belichick like role in Cleveland with full control. I guess we are going to end up with McCarthy

Based on his stint in Denver that would be a Browns move.

Please, Cleveland, do it.  For our sakes, do it.
