Lawrence is obviously the best NFL prospect but I don't agree with Fields being behind Burrow and Hurts. He's a better prospect than either of those two, IMO. There is a lot of variation in that group, however so the comparisons are not really apples to apples. Lawrence is a traditional pro-style QB, Hurts and Fields are more mobile/running QB's, and Burrow is more of a game-managing type.

The one thing that sticks out for Lawrence is that he has elite ball placement. That is why I would put him ahead of Fields.

2-14 seems reasonable but could also be a stretch. I’m thinking 1-15 or 0-16, but will go with 2-14 for now.

Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel, Robert Griffin III, Sam Bradford, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Troy Smith, Matt Leinhart, Jason White, Eric Crouch and Chris Wienke were all Heisman trophy winning QB's over the last 20 years. What unbelievable NFL careers they have had.

The top four career passing yardage QB's in NCAA history are Case Keenum, Timmy Chang, Landry Jones and Graham Harrell. The top 10 season leaders look like this BJ Symons, Graham Harrell(twice), Case Keenum(twice), Anthony Gordon, Colt Brennan, Joe Burrow, Ty Detmer, David Kingler. Notice anything about that company?

Here is your top ten(with ties) single season passing TD leader's: Colt Brennan, Joe Burrow, David Kingler, BJ Symons, Dwayne Haskins, Derek Carr, Sam Brandford, Brad Doughty, Anthony Gordon(twice), Case Keenum, Graham Harrell.

Of course, so much depends on the QB situation, but if Cam comes back I see immediate improvement because the OL should be better and the defense has some promise (nearly 60 sacks).  I think our problems were DT, OL, and to a slightly lesser degree, QB and CB.

I think the fixes can be addressed in free agency (DT) and developing our youth (OL).  We need a C, CB (nobody is talking about that) and a stud NT.

The road schedule is absolutely brutal.  Could easily lose every game.

Which i'm in favor of so long as we can land Fields or Lawrence in 2021.
