Unfortunately, three guys we would be better off parting ways with will almost certainly be back next year due to contract structure and the lack of having post June 1st designation cuts in the final year of the CBA. Those three guys being Short, Turner, and Paradis. That's a huge chunk of our cap being eaten up by JAGs.

I just had an eureka moment, guys.  I put it in this thread because it made the most sense--playing the GM, but just see me out on this.

Unless something crazy happens between now and draft day the Bengals will be taking Joe Burrow.  What then happens to Andy Dalton?  Oddly enough, just like Cam, he's in a one-year pickle with no certainty beyond that.  Okay, If we trade say...a 3rd rounder to the Bengals for Dalton where Cam and Andy would battle it out for the top spot.  The winner gets to be the starter and with success a new deal in 2021 and the other accepts a backup role or hits FA.  Thoughts?

The Bengals just drafted A QB this year too, but a backup.  Dalton is the odd man out.  It could be a Greg Olsen type situation if we play our cards correctly
